Let me think? Black Jack was black licorice flavored if I did my math right. I preferred Beemans. After I got that far it was time to stop the test because I so not want to see the results.

I also got 17. Missed on the Studebaker (should have known that - we had one), Caroline Kennedy's horse and the Howdy Doody Indian Princess (both before my time).

Don't tell the ones you missed or you'll help the other ones that take the test. But since it's out, I missed the Studebaker too. I was about to pick it, but I'm sure you know the one I picked instead. The same one you picked.

    This made me laugh.

Some may not know, but film stars, and here in THE OC, some people have 6-pack abs, cleavage, and other "enhancements" painted and blended in tan-looking colors put on by makeup artists to look more "buff".

    Like this.

This can cost up to several hundred dollars a month, or mroe if you hire the companies that will visit your home once a week to keep it the artwork in tiptop shape!

Fortunately, here is an instructional video for by and for regular people on how to attain "the look" on a budget!

Movie star looks on a budget

14 and 18 were the only ones to which I definitively knew the answers. I was also betting on 3-c due to my science knowledge. For everything else, I had no idea what the bloody fark you were talking about. Who's Caroline Kennedy and what does "mimeographed" mean?

I got 17, and all of this was before my time.
This quiz is a wee-bit out of date. Perhaps everybody under 70 should get a handicap.

    Spots,
That's a type ball from a Selectric and a mimeograph. Your game sounds like fun.

Obviously this score also applies to:

    You are not an American.

I read it out of interest, but had no clue what most of the questions were talking about!

Edited to add: I don't suppose many of you would remember these:

The top item is the yellow plastic piece that went in the hole of a 45 rpm record so it could be played on a regular turntable built for 33-1/3 records.

The bottom item is an original 8-inch floppy disk.

Sticking with the IBM theme - Do you know what this is?

The name on the front kinda gives away what this is...

    Spots,
The top item is the magnetic card that went in the Selectric. The bottom item is a dairy box.

    How about these?

    Spots,
The top one looks like a bootleg bottle, but not sure.
The bottom one almost had me stumped. They're the little replacement wipers for an electric race car.

    Good stuff :D

A pull tab and a telegraph key - I've used both of them! :)

Actually, the top item I posted is a windshield washer fluid bottle from an 60's-era GM. The bracket was screwed into place somewhere in the engine compartment, and the glass bottle held a quart of genuine GM Optikleen washer fluid.

You're right about the bottom - they're the little electric pickups for an Aurora HO scale slot car.

An 8-track tape player, and I can't remember what the name of the 2nd item is - I remember it was a toy robotic arm that some store (Toys 'R Us, KB Toys?) sold.

I worked in the "Information Technology" field back when it was known as "Data Processing" - so forgive me if these aren't immediately recognizeable --

    Spots,
You're correct on the second item. It was called the "Armatron" and was marketed by Radio Shack.
Your 3 items all appear to belong to a UNIVAC mainframe installation. The first looks like a punch card encoding station, the second a punch card reader, and the third a reel-to-reel storage bank.

    I'll go a little more low-tech.
