    Hilarious follow up on this.

Really? The lady who used the derogatory slang for homosexual informed the sheriff and the state that homosexuals may show up at here restaurant/bait shop? What in the holy hell does she think the sheriff or the state will do?

    http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2014/05/30/controversial-texas-restaurant-becoming-a-highly-rated-gay-bar/

An East Texas restaurant is receiving unique backlash on social media after a waitress told a gay couple not to return, making a homophobic remark in the process.

Using Yelp and Google reviews, online activists are trying to make Big Earl’s Bait House and Country Store in Pittsburg seem like one of the highest rated and most recommended gay bars in Texas.

One Yelp review reads, “this place is great… you can really let your freak flag fly here.”

Another reads, “I’m a dude. I like dudes. And I appreciate a place where dudes can hang out together in dude-company.” A comment that is in obvious reference to the sign on Big Earls Restaurant that states, “Welcome to Big Earls, where men act like men and women act like ladies. No Saggy Pants.”

Collin Dewberry says he and his partner had just paid their check when their waitress approached them on the way out.

“And that’s when she said to us… ‘to put it plainly, we don’t serve (*)(*)(*)(*) here’.”

“I think the restaurant better learn to adapt or they will probably have to close their doors soon,” says Kyle, who identifies himself as a gay man.

He and others in the Dallas LGBT community are planning to make a road trip to Big Earl’s.

“I think it’s a fantastic idea and I’ll be there,” says Gary Burns. “There’s no reason not to just go and embrace those people and to love them and hug them and say ‘hey, we’re human beings too’.”

And Big Earl’s restaurant says they’re ready for them.

“If there’s any problems, they will be taken care of appropriately,” says Christina Cheney, who is Big Earl’s daughter and the waitress who made the homophobic remark. “We are aware that they are attempting to come out here. We’re ready for them; we have informed the Sheriff’s department and the state.”

And while Big Earl’s says they have received an influx of new customers since news came out, they should expect a new crowd in Pittsburg, especially with reviews like this from Bubba on Yelp:

“Well, the food isn’t all that good, but this is still the best gay cruiser joint in Texas! I’ve picked up several dates there. All are very handsome, very gay men. I hear the owner offers discounts to men in chaps.”

Personally I have NO problem with a business refusing to serve ANYONE or putting up NO GUNS allowed here signs etc, NOT my business to run. IF I am offended there are always other businesses I can go to.

I hate sensitive people :roflol: I like course, vulgar people with leather skin, like myself! But is "homo" OK? I see that in previous posts.

    from the article

Cheney says the reason Dewberry and his partner were asked not to return was because of their actions.

“What I saw was one of them half way under the table with his legs stretched out into the other guy’s lap. And he kind of looked really possum eyed at me as they say it in East Texas, he kind of looked at me like ‘uh-oh’.”

Interesting, it would seem that the proprietor doesn't appreciate the rubbing of crotches with feet in his restaurant.

if you read the article you'll see that the homosexuals were rubbing each others' crotch with their feet.

Do you want that behavior from heterosexuals or homosexuals out in the open if you owned a restaurant?

Imagine that! Somebody who expects civil conduct in his restaurant is suddenly a gay hating bigot.

Nobody who owns a business should be forced to provide service to anyone.

In my opinion that is very uncharitable for a Christian to say.

Naw. Their rules are about conduct. If you act up you won't be welcomed back.

Leave my religion out of it since you have no idea what Christians are, what we believe, or how we conduct ourselves. So best to stick to what you understand.

Because Big Earl's doesn't serve (*)(*)(*)(*)- how about you?

“She told them the rules are on the door and it says ‘Welcome to Big Earl’s where men act like men, women act like ladies, no saggy pants and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.’”
“And so I laughed and I asked what do you mean?” says Dewberry. “And that’s when she said to us… ‘to put it plainly, we don’t serve (*)(*)(*)(*) here.’”

She didn't have a problem with them being (*)(*)(*)(*) until they acted inappropriately. Even gay people would call these two (*)(*)(*)(*) for what they did, so stow the violin because there are no victims here.

No but people should have the right to deny others based on skin color or any other criteria.

we don't know her motivation. How would she have known that these guys sleep with each other? Maybe when they started rubbing each others crotch with their feet was a tip off? If I had a restaurant, I'd toss out a guy and girl for doing that so me thinks this is more about their behavior and not that they sleep with each other.

But she did not kick them out. It appears she accepted there money, called them a name, and then told them to not come back.

Now, I am Cartesian that using derogatory language for homosexuals is a big selling point amongst the crowd that may frequent a bait shop/restaurant combo, but bigotry appears to have it's repercussions.

Just rendering an opinion based on what I read; nothing more, nothing less. That's what I understand.
