House Democrats’ Attempt to Debunk ‘Good Guy with a Gun’ Narrative Backfires — BIG TIME

…According to the FBI’s Crime Data Explorer, the number of gun homicides where the murder weapon was determined for ALL rifles combined was 455 — that was about a quarter of the number for “knives and cutting instruments” (1,739) and fewer than “personal weapons” like hands and feet (662).

“Assault weapons” include semi-automatic weapons like the standard AR-15, which is a subclass of all rifles in the United States. There are approximately 393 million firearms in the United States owned by roughly 150 million gun owners.



There have been approximately 13 deadly mass shootings at schools in the United States since 1966, according to The Gun Violence Archive. The majority of mass shooters who have had a psychiatric evaluation were assessed as having mental health issues.

It is telling that the Democratic Party’s reaction to extremely rare mass shootings at schools is to disarm as many law-abiding Americans as they can. It’s never to take action on the schools’ security failures or the many ‘red flags’ their communities or law enforcement miss before a mass shooter strikes.

It is disgusting that democrats seize upon these tragic yet rare events to try to disarm the law abiding gun owners they fear so much. Rifles are used for a tiny minority of gun crimes and deaths. It’s time that democrats consider mental health issues, causes, and treatment, letting there by one or more trained concealed carry armed teachers on campus, having a security or law enforcement person on campus, and hardened schools with one secured entrance rather than getting on their soap box and ranting against armed law abiding citizens.

 

Good guys or women with a gun have stoped so many crimes because of their weapon. Most times they never have to use it as the perp seeing it, often runs rather than take it on. The good person with a gun is by far the best deterrence against crime

 

Good people with a gun have stopped shooters with a semi auto rifle as well despite the senseless denials from the gun grabber democrats

 

No stats? I thought you were the stat guy. Your OP does NOTHING to support it's tittle so certainly this addendum was necessary. But if Good Guys/Gals are stopping Bad Guy/Gals "so many" times there must be supporting data. No?

I'm sure you have stats on this too? My skepticism is from reading so many of your posts wherein you "senselessly" attack democrats and liberals.
