    Corroborating the dossier:
Imagine if Hillary's important and influential friends and supporters we're giving the FBI 'tips' on Trump's wrongdoings, the FBI would have to pursue any credible leads and these are from important and influential people, completely credible, no consideration they could be motivated by Hillary?
I think the FBI got ‘played’.

What if? Imagine? FBI can't properly analyze a tip? Ignoring that the FBI DID include the political aspect of the Steele dossier?

Is THIS how you think about important topics?

Or, are you a Putin bot?

Actually the burden of proof is on the those that request the warrant, that is why our Constitution requires that a warrant request be accompanied by a SWORN OATH.

They've been looking since 2013 and they haven't discovered anything yet.

I read an article on Carter Page, journalist said he researched Page when he first came up, basically just checking the guy's resume, but couldn't verify those Russian ties at all. None of the big wheels in Russian energy ever heard of him, the deals Page said he was involved in were truly monumental, with very important figures involved, Putin himself signed off on one of them, but Carter Page wasn't a player. Stuff about advising the Kremlin on foreign affairs seemed like pure puffery. He was a bit player for a short time in the Trump campaign (him and Manafort).

I've read through the procedures, they look sound, but as always, they need to be followed, implemented by people of integrity and with transparent oversight.

Burden of proof is entirely on YOU to PROVE that the warrant was obtained without the appropriate disclosures.

The fact that it was establishes that you can't so you are just posting your usual load of alt right disinformation drivel.

No. Actually, since the FBI had to swear an oath that everything in the application and renewals was accurate, trustworthy and complete, they have the burden of proof to show that they did not illegally spy on a US citizen by misleading the FISA court, a fact which has been firmly established by the Senate Investigation, which has led to a Criminal Referral of Steele, the FBI's informant, for criminal charges for lying to the FBI.

No it's not. All warrants must be supported by a sworn, detailed statement made by the requester appearing before a neutral judge or magistrate. There is clear evidence that the information provided to the court was unreliable, uncorroborated, unverified and the sources not even identified. The various FISA judges appear to have zero curiosity about obvious red flags in the FBI and DOJ's case. The burden of proof is on them, and if you are to be believed, after all, its is they that have the documents that would quickly clear them. I wouldn't hold your breath.

After years of non-stop virtue signaling as the party of "truth, justice and equality," the Democrats are slowly, inexorably being revealed to be the reverse. They are being hoisted on the petard of their own moral narcissism. It has made them blind.

So convinced of their own righteousness were they that it allowed them to participate in, even instigate, the subversion of our justice system to the extent of lying to and deceiving a FISA court in the name of what they assumed was "good." They did this in concert with people who claimed to be Republicans or "independents" working for that system in the supposedly noble cause of upending Donald Trump, before and after his election, but ended up being the deluded agents of government corruption the likes of which we have never seen in this country.

It comes down to something as crude as this: Trump's a bad guy, therefore I'm a good guy and can do or say anything I wish to destroy Trump. This is moral narcissism taken to a pathological extreme.

However the FACTS and REALITY do not support your fallacious opinion in this matter.

FISA proceedings are not public, there is no record to review, these are simple demands by whatever agents from the intelligence community to conduct surveillance by electronic means on US citizens, they present a plausible basis, there's no rebuttal, the FISA court is supposed to demand the highest standards, but the integrity of those advocating for the surveillance is evidently dubious.

So, 2000 plus posts later, there is consensus on what the memo says, yes?

Yes the meaning of the memo is quite obvious. There are some for political reasons would like to obfuscate or denigrate its clear meaning and ominous message.

The "clear and ominous message" of the debunked and discredited nunes memo is that the there is a nefarious attempt by the GOP to dishonestly impugn the credibility and reputation of the FBI.

Hold on nellie, you guys have been screaming about doing something about the alleged Trump collusion of which we have not evidence what do you mean move on? We know the DNC and the Clinton campaign DID collude so what should be done to them about it? And what to do about the high level officials who conspired to present the phony dossier to a FISA to seek a warrant to spy on a private citizen in order to get information on their political opposition and to try and unseat a duly elected president.

You just want to move on with all that still hanging?

The absurdity of comparing the FISA court to simple traffic court is just amazing. Are you really willing to make such absurd claims in order to defend these high level law enforcement officials? And the FISA court isn't supposed to be sloppy they are supposed to be the highest standard because the issuance of a FISA warrant againsts an innocent citizen is about as egregious the government can get in the violation of our right to privacy and from unwarranted searches. And so far the evidence that was used to obtain this search did not warrant it and the means the information was obtained and then filtered through the state department to the FBI to the court was an act of malfeasance at the least and very likely felonious.

Really? What was the predicated crime? And using whatever you have on hand that you have to fail to disclose it's lack of veracity and corroboration and the fact that the political oppoenents of the campaign being targeted sought and funded the information and could not vouch for it's accuracy to the judge is NOT how our system of justice is to work and gross violation of constitutional rights. But then that doesn't matter to you does it.
