More Repiblicans supported Marjorie than gave support to Liz.

The GOP party is officially the QOP! They aren't Grand, that's for sure.

I thought that GOP stands for Gullible Old People?
    Seems pretty descriptive these days.

Greene is a conspiracy theory nut job...and a dangerous one at that. She has no business being in Congress so she'll languish for a couple of years just showing up to vote (maybe). After losing her 2 committee functions she won't have anything else to do other than the number one task of all who serve in Congress - fund raise for the next election, lol. This woman is nuts....period - which makes her a perfect little Trumpist.

It's too bad the GOP didn't have the balls to take care of their own problem.

She needs psychiatric help...along with others. The problem is how do we protect their individual rights while ensuring they get help?

She actually does have business being in congress. That is how her district thinks. That's why they elected her.
She is just a representative of what her district thinks.

She had a lot a help in the primary from members of the Freedom Caucus plus bags of money to spend - to win a district she doesn't even live in, defeating a very, very conservative & very intelligent guy in the primary - Dr. John Cowan, a neurosurgeon. The reason I say primary is that is where the real election for the 14th GA district is, this district is one of those where if the choice in the general was between Satan - R and Jesus - D, Satan wins in a landslide, lol . We'll see what the GA GOP has to say about 2022, should be interesting. Either way, she's kind of cut-off, won't likely get much done for her constituents, not that some of them will likely notice......

Then her voters don't pay attention to the candidates and only believe the fluff of lies.
They still made the choice. In 2 yrs, when she comes up for reelection, they will have a better idea of what she represents.

And then shame on her opponent for not uncovering those QAnon beliefs.

Actually he and his campaign did, the problem was he didn't have a lot of money so his campaign juggled promoting his conservatism, policy positions etc. vs. attacking Greene on her nut job posts. She was so far out in goofyville she had the backing of heavy hitter Freedom Caucus clowns and a ton of cash....a winning proposition in Crazytown.

That is also my impression. I wonder how here constituents will react. e.g. will they be pissed off that she renounced some of her past conspiracy theories? alternatively, will they embrace her all the more for becoming a martyr to her cause?

    I think she played them.
But since they were fooled, will they know she played them?

I don't know her end game. Does she believe QAnon bs or just use it for making waves?

And that must sicken old school republicans who really joined a party believing it stood for patriotism, for decency, for personal accountability. I really do feel sorry for many of them. They thought this populist Trump fever would break, and it just won't. Trump is a herpes sore that just will not stay away. They will have a series of tough decisions in the voting booth as do so many members of the traditional republican coalition.

What do decent, patriotic conservative republicans do now

Not really. Donors are bailing on the minority leader which will effectively end his career in leadership. Ultimately their constituency is the donors. Quite a conundrum: clean up or go bankrupt.

I disagree. If your constituents are misfits, your congressperson must still be fit to serve.

It's so hilarious, you'd think this is what people want(Marjorie removed from the committee chairs), but instead all you hear complaints about is how there wasn't more votes for the measure.

It's kind of similar to the HRC "why aren't I 900 million-0 ahead" comments. Well, here's the answer: Not everyone thinks in group think. Some people think differently, and that leads to different outcomes. Maybe they thought of different ways of disciplining her, or whatever(I'm not about to hypothetically guess the millions of possible reasons.)

Just be happy that the goal was accomplished, regardless of its margin. It's the same thing with the election results. Just be glad that Biden won. An enemies list will not help the US heal.

    Crazy Trump supporter 95%.
Secret vote (Cheney) 80% support impeachment.

    Just my interpretation.
