You have science and technology, and I would think that there would be many people on this site interested in History, as well. After all, what we are reading on the political forums right now, springs from History in one form or another.
I think a variety of historical subjects would be more interesting. Henry the 8th, The Normans, The Black Plague, and how it completely changed society as we know it.... It would have possibilities for some very interesting discussions, and while this is a political forum, historical events which are not labeled as being "political", still have had an influence on our current societies, and problems. Such as The Puritans in America, it's influence is still felt today... ..and that alone would be an interesting topic of discussion!
Revisionists freak out and cry Racisim and Colonialism & Imperialism & Bigoted Homophobic chest thumping is verbotten
We do have the 'History and Past Politicians' section, and although the description says 'Discuss politics from years & decades ago' I don't think anyone will object to that section continuing to be used for any historical subjects and discussions, whether or not they are related to 'past politicians' or related directly to politics (although Henry VIII as a king could certainly be said in many ways to be a 'politician' of his time!).
