OUTSTANDING bowl game last evening. Alabama is to be respected, for sure. But Oklahoma never let up and made some really awesome plays.....AND came out the big winner. BOOMER SOONER!!
Yep. Anyone who beats Alabama is just fine with me, even though I don't care for Stoops or Oklahoma that much. And it was a terrific college football game. However, since 2007, whenever I see Oklahoma, it takes me back to the 2007 Fiesta Bowl, which I attended, where our Boise State Broncos played in another exciting football game. I've been to a few memorable sports events over the years, but that one ranks at the top. (Our brief moment in the spotlight!)
Yeah, to think that Texas pasted Oklahoma in the Red River Shootout and then get pummeled by Oregon while Oklahoma goes on to beat Alabama! What a crazy world football is! LOL! The candidates for Mack Brown's job look pretty good, I'm leaning toward James Franklin at Vanderbilt. If he can recruit and win there just imagine what he could do in Texas!
Yes, but one thing missing for most of the year for the Sooners was their #1 Quarterback......Trevor Knight. He's back now....and made a huge difference in this game. But all the team was just clicking. And he's a red-shirted Freshman......so the future looks good!!
