Literally all guns that are in the hands of criminals and gangs , are legal at one time. Or legal to the seller who illegally sells it., Or legally bought and given away or a person who is a legal buyer buys it for someone who isn't, all of these start legal, More guns more deaths by guns.

hence Jbander's solution is to ban all guns so only criminals will have firearms. He wants a society where criminals don't have to worry about being shot by people they seek to victimize

It just drives you nuts that law abiding people have guns and there isn't anything you can do about it doesn't it?

Blaming law abiding citizens for criminal possesion of guns is akin to blaming someone for car thieves when there car gets stolen.

    In response to the OP.

Go read my arguments on some of the other threads. I've responded to the most important arguments used by your side.

    Huh .
Wrong, it just makes sane people wonder why you hide behind and support legal buyers as primary buyers who provide guns to criminals through a variety of avenues. You know them because with out a doubt, there IS an element in this group that does engage in activities that supply guns to people who should not have them.

Where could you find a group of people who brag that legal gun owners with permits, seldom are involved in gun deaths, yet work like heck to keep gun owners from having to have permits. Their argument is, it's a right for anyone to have a gun....no it is not. The right is not absolute and is always subject to regulation. If you listen to their arguments, it amounts to, only criminals having background checks and innocent and law abiding should not have to. You have to be a mind reader of creationist who believes in fables to figure that logic.

A lot of them are stolen out of glove compartments and houses and fenced to dealers who sell them out of trunks. There's opportunity for everybody with all the guns out there.

your support of banoid nonsense is pathetic. You are hateful of the constitution and a fan of Big government. You want only criminals to be armed

    - - - Updated - - -

and lots of them are "lost" by government agents-thousands a year.

but what is funny is believing that those who whine for more gun control actually care about public safety as their main motivations

Yes, we know that gun shows are part of the supply; however, it ultimately doesn't matter, to many of us. I've responded to this issue at length in other threads.

So have I, and that's why I constantly complain about the banners leading us, yet again, for several more laps around the same old tiny little bush. Their thinking here is that we'll get tired of circling this well worn track, and ignore them. Then their lies and deceptions might catch on with those who are new to the debate.

The fact that your more likely to shoot yourself in the foot before you use your gun to protect yourself , I find interesting.

There is no issue that is supported more with lies and distortions then gun rights and how dangerous they are to everyone or at least anyone in range of 310 million guns in this country. OOPS! my bad I killed the neighbors child.

Banoids ? You guys are felonoids considering how the NRA for years supported aiding Felons in getting guns by subverting and getting around the law and the constitution.
Now, the govt. is suppling guns to criminals you say. I suppose they make them too. No, that's the manufactures from around the world who ALL support the NRA . You guys want to protect yourself from the govt. Still fighting the civil war ?

Did you find that on Salon? Please provide sources if you are going to base your argument on such claims.

Just so I understand your position: The solution is to round up all the legal guns (to include military and police), shut down all the legal retail channels, end manufacturing, and then wait for the criminals supply to dry up? Then a utopian state of 'no guns in anyone's hands' can be achieved? Is this close?

Why don't you respond to the more serious posts we've had on here?

By the way, have you ever seen a gun, held one, or been around them for any length of time? Being in a police vehicle doesn't count.

Lets look at the stats. An average 1000 per year or less die from accidental gun discharge with a population of at least 80 million gun owners and at least 300 million guns. Now lets compare it to cars. 30,000 per year die with 190 million licensed drivers and 254 million registered cars. Which is worst?

    - - - Updated - - -

Stolen cars where once legal too. What's your point?

Just like in the rest of the world, in the UK, Japan and other places that forbid human rights to self preservation, criminals get guns by stealing them, trading for drugs or for drug money. Their friends and family members give or sell them guns. Fellow gang members also break dozens of laws obtaining guns for them.

More deaths from unpunished thugs and their unpunished criminal associates.

Well said. Many of them seem to think that 400 million firearms will just vanish once they put their system into place. We would be helpless until the springs and firing pins wore out--not likely to happen in our lifetime.

felons are punished if they are caught with a gun; THE NRA supported project exile and other policies that targeted felons with guns. Left-wingers like you tend to be supportive of felons.

Banoids are to felons as OSHA is to factory workers

I have a handgun in my safe that is well over 100 years old, and still functions like the day it was new. Belonged to my great, great grandfather. I wonder what will happen in this proposed utopia, while we are all waiting, disarmed, for the criminal's supply of guns to dry up. :(

Old revolvers NEVER stop working. You would think that the people who want to ban firearms would want to know more about them, at the very least so that they could argue with us. Then again, their lack of knowledge is why they oppose us so vehemently.
