How Long Before a Police Force Simply Quits

I read over a week ago that almost 50 police officers in Dallas had resigned in June alone.

In view of last nights attack, I have to ask myself, what happens when some hack politician runs for the camera and media in full pander mode after some as yet to be investigated incident (Like in Ferguson of with Martin) and an entire police force simply quits, walks off the job and looks for work elsewhere. After all, there are tens of thousands of departments out there where the police are appreciated and respected. Not every location is run by blue state panderers and race baiters.

Think about it. Police forces in big cities all over the country are seeing massive losses of career police. What would those pandering politicians do if they themselves have to keep the peace?

 

Or-----------the police will simply shoot first and ask questions later, since there are killer idiots like the one in Dallas. And no one should blame them.

 

What happens is that the gangs run the cities, as they do in Baltimore, Chicago and like everywhere in Mexico and other Narco-States.

It is not right to compare such cities with the rest of the nation that try to obey the rule of law. It is only fair to compare a violent gangland like Detroit with a violent 3rd World Nation like the Congo or Honduras---not with better cities like Cheyenne or Salt Lake City.

Well, let's put a little perspective on this. I'm not trying to dismiss the tragic deaths in Dallas, but overall police deaths
have been down during the Obama years as compared to the Reagan years. Far more police died during
the prohibition years and in the 1940's than have died recently.

Cops are resilient - most are fantastic individuals. I doubt they are all going to walk off the job. Maybe it's
the civilians on these threads who need to pull their s**t together and stop freaking out.

How can anyone who watched that hysterical cop ranting after he had shot the man sitting in his car not see that there is a serious problem in law-enforcement when such people can become police and run around with a gun?

 

Or because Americans cannot understand they need to unify and alter or abolish to end the abridging of free speech in order to re educate the public and return justice, the NWO has the military or NATO take over.

Sounds possible...the country becomes two places, those run by thugs and blue politicians and those run by Americans who respect the police.

 

In the 3rd world when corruption becomes too great to be born, then they have a coup after which it takes the new regime a few years to get as corrupt as the old government. We do not have that option so we go from corrupt to more corrupt to intolerable to worse.

 

They should all be replaced with sheriffs departments organized by independent elected sheriffs - should have happened decades ago.

How can one have any government where folk do not criticize it? The nature of government is to annoy a good bit of the population. The key, the thing that separates normal operations from abuse and corruption is the size of that population that is annoyed and that groups ability to change that government short of revolution. We are seeing we ave little chance to fix the corruption and that by itself adds to the feel that the system is broken.

It happens to be safer being a cop now than the past 4 decades. And when including the population of police forces, the rate of police deaths is far less than it was the last 4 decades. I don't think they're quitting anytime soon.

No, it is not worth it. The President, Democratic Party and tens of millions of Democrats (not all) claim you are murderous racist thugs, you are likely to be assaulted many times, spit on, cursed at, face endless false accusations, have piles of paperwork to do, and risk being murdered, violently crippled for life, and dragged thru political-purpose trials destroying your life, your reputation, your marriage, endangering your family and possibly prison.

Being an urban police officer now would possibly qualify a person as irrationally insane merely for having and keeping that job.

Understand what just happened. The president of the United States instantly rushed to the cameras to declare two police officers racist murderers - and within hours 12 police officers are shot, 5 murdered. The Democratic candidate's comments of this were that police departments are racist, the fault lies with the police and with white people being racists, and basically that those police are responsible for their own murders because they were murderous racists themselves.

Only a fool would stay on that boat. By police I mean police who go on patrol and answer calls in any urban or suburban area. YOU are the enemy and are fundamentally evil to tens of millions of people and nearly half of those in government.

However, if you are going to stay police, then take the attitude the Chicago police should take. Let people kill and assault each other. Only fill out after-the-fact reports. Never see anything or anyone suspicious, never notice the computer registering a license plate is for a wanted person, never notice a stolen car, and have a radio malfunction when any domestic disturbance call comes in. Do lots of paperwork to keep you at the police station.

 

Yes, because being shot, stabbed or beaten never hurt any police officer. The drop in lose of life is due to the medical ability to technically keep a person alive more than in the past.

Cop haters ALWAYS ONLY take about police who die - why you see nearly all the press and media reporting 5 police officers killed, not 12 police officers shot - and no mention of 2 white civilians shot. In short, to lie in silence to trivialize to NOTHINGNESS police officers who are crippled for life as non-existence - because they don't care in the slightest what happens to police officers.

Will all police quit? No. They will just continue to take the attitude that they will take no risks for people anymore - why all the wounded in the Orlando nightclub were left to bleed to death over 3 1/2 hours. Police won't quit. They will just do less and less. Police response times will increase longer and longer and don't expect any officer to take the slightest risks for anyone.

To "serve and protect" will increasingly only mean to serve and protect themselves. You people are on your own, other than police will do paperwork so you can make an insurance claim. If you want police protection, hire your own personal security - though they aren't going to do much either.
