So we disagree. Neither of the words are a social construct. Get yourself a better word for transgenderism if you don't like the term. There are only two sexes and only two genders in human beings.
There are simply 3 sexes/genders. Male, female and don't knows. At the age of 85 a 4th is added. The 'can't remember',
When you really think about it, who cares if there are 2 genders or 200. What is it hurting and who are we to tell another person how they can identify themselves? And why this obsession over biological sex? Again, it doesn't really mean anything, but I think that's what the problem is. There are some people who have put so much of their identity into a gender that is constructed completely around their biological sex, that any threat to it, causes instant backlash. Also, there are those that have such a hatred for a particular gender, that the idea that a gender can just be changed, completely wrecks their narrative on why this particular gender is so bad. I'm sure there are more reasons, but this what I have thought of this far.
That's great. Be whatever you want but don't expect that the rest of the world has to go along with you. And that's the problem from the gender Nazis. You're free to be whatever you want but you're not free to force me to participate
What sort of participation is actually being forced on you? Is someone forcing you to identify as a gender you do not identify with?
Then how come so many people that seek to change their gender also want to alter their genitals? Oddly enough people not seeking to change their gender don't go and have surgery or hormones to attempt to alter their genitals
Gender is a social construct where’s sex is a physical reality. Some let’s get basics correct first https://www.coe.int/en/web/gender-m...ers to “the different, groups of women and men.
Then how come people whose gender is the same as their sex never seek to alter their genitals using surgery or hormones? The argument that genitals and gender are different false flat on its face due to the fact that normal people don't seek to alter their genitals while people whose seek to change their gender are the ones who alter their genitals. I am a man who is biologically a male so therefore you will never see me going to get hormones to attempt to grow breasts. And I'm perfectly happy with the equipment downstairs
You can't have it both ways. If gender is separate from sex then people seeking to change their gender are proving that it is not separate by attempting to alter their sex to more closely match what they think is their gender.
That doesn’t really make sense — you really need to look up what a social construct is. If it makes you feel better though you can vote on whatever you want and use whatever words you want. Doesn’t impact me in the slightest
In people experiencing GD: their genitals cause distress as it creates incongruence between their bodies and their minds. Sex is impossible to change. Gender isn’t
They really didn’t — you are just not comprehending them. Which is understandable, it’s a fairly complex subject and even people trying to learn about it that come from a place of good faith and no malice find its fairly complicated as it deals with several branches of psychology. I would anticipate a person coming at it from a place of hate / disgust / trolling (not saying you are any) would walk away with little new knowledge.
