That is equitable, but reasonable folks in Palestine and Israel must reach an accommodation, and defend themselves against the fanatics on either or both sides.

You mean like how Native Americans some times massacred the invaders of their lands?

Yeah, Europeans stole land that didn't belong to them in America, just like Jews stole land that didn't belong to them in Israel.

Why would Arabs want to appease invaders who were stealing their land?

All of it. But like I wrote, the burden of justifying my existance isn't on me - it's on you, since you're the one who's attacked it in the first place. So I ask you once again; On which sources can you affirm that the French colonists stole/invaded native lands and/or attempted a genocide of those same natives.

You bet I dispute the fairness of UN 181 - the concerned population's opinion had no weight on the decision whatsoever. It is only by fait accompli that I support the 1967 green line. What, you would propose UN 181 instead?

And what's that codswallop about the genocide of the jews ???

Nope, more like arabs rioting, attacking, massacring peaceful neighborhood jews. More like Hitler and the brownshirts then native americans.
Jews lived in Palestine, peacefully and legally together with Arabs. Partition => two states for two peoples. no stealing, sensible compromise. Kapish?
Compromise is not an apeasement. Especially when it's based on a UN resolution, supported by the will of the entire world.

The riots happened after the Balfour Declaration, it's no wonder why.

Compromise in having the Palestinian people living there have to leave the land, to make way for Jewish colonists?

That'ts one sided, and in no way a compromise.

Well, you being a descender of European colonizers live on the land stolen by European colonizers from native americans. duh. Based on your logic you should be packing and going back to France just about now, instead of bashing the Israelis who unlike you actually live on their land.

Oh but it had and the outcome turned out to be deliciously fair. The population that supported the partition ended up with a country, the population that was intransigent and unwilling to compromise ended up with nothing. Too bad they never learned.
1967 with land swaps would be fine with me (and the overwhelming majority of Israelis) if the Arabs were ready to make peace. But the palestinians are not ready, the Arab world is not, you are not, most of the western Israel hate mob are not ready.
You are inciting the hatred of Israel and Jews in every one of your posts.

Because they really care about everyone else's genocides, Israel refuses to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide, and Abe Foxman denies the Armenian Genocide.

Americans typically have lived in America longer, than Jews have lived in Israel.

Curious as to why the Balfour declaration, in spite of the promises made to the Arabs that fought the Tuks with the English? That's because the zionists brought the Yanks into WWI, thus saving England's arse (which was definitely going nowhere in 1916). That's what Freedman said and it connected a great deal of seemingly irrational events for me.

Now you are justifying riots and massacres.
No one was to leave the land under the Partition resolutions. The arabs on the Israeli side of the partition were to retain their property, homes, possessions, wives, goats and become the citizens of democratic Israel with all the rights, freedoms and liberties that it entailed, unheard of in the arab world. The arabs who remained loyal (neutral) to the state of Israel did not lose anything. Those who chose to side with the enemies of Israel committed to its destruction have only themselves to blame.

No it did not and thats all they should get back. Wheres the they get nothing option ? They should go back to the countries their ancestors came from. What land Arabs did own they sold for high prices to the Jews. There was never a nation named Palestine or a peoples known as Palestinians.

So, you're saying that Palestinians were to lose their nation, to be engulfed by Israel, kind of like what happened to Native Americans?

Yeah, maybe in some alternate history - because in the one that matters, what you imagined simply didn't happen. Enough about your illusory authority on these matters, anyway, or mine; Show us a credible source and make me shut up or confound yourself in excuses.

So if I am a thief and only steal half of your house, it's "deliciously fair" to you?

There's nothing like that that Israel ever proposed. The Arab league, yes, did propose plans such as these, but they were hardly even considered. In fact, I have come to believe that every Israeli proposition is made to be un-acceptable, as the one-way war and daily land stealing serves Eretz Yisrael much better than within durable peace.

You know what incites hatred of Jews? The actions of Israel, and the argumentation of those who defend them. If I were a jew, I'd urge you to get off my side.

Israel was legally established in 1948 the Arabs illegally wage an aggressive war against the tiny State of Israel because they wanted only an Islamic apartheid state in the Middle East. Israel existence represents democracy in that region Israel is an example that pose a threat to Muslims to revert to democracy over Islamic theocracy. The Arabs eventually accepted Israel after loosing three wars Jordan, Egypt and in some degree Saudi Arabia and Lebanon have no problem with Israel anymore. The Palestinians need to renounce the destruction of Israel and join the family of nations allied with Israel against Islamic radicalism and terrorism.

Hate to break it to you, but autosomal DNA results show that Mizrahi Jews are genetically closer to Palestinians, than to Ashkenazi Jews, or Sephardi Jews.

Arabs definitely absorbed a lot of local populations when they invaded, that's why the Levant, North Africa, and Iraq aren't genetically identical to Saudi Arabians.

What nation? They are arabs and no one took it away from them. The arabs had never had a country in that land, there never was a state of Palestine. They were actually to get (not lose) their own country after the partition. They chose not to, they chose war and violence.

Are you seriously claiming that there is a statute of limitation?

until the mid 20th century, never before has a state called latvia, estonia, belarus, czeck republic, slovakia, ever existed.

are you questioning their legitimacy as well?

    - - - Updated - - -

Lebanon never existed until the mid 20th century.

    are they also fake?

Sorry pal but until you show that you are willing to vacate the land that is not yours and was stolen by European invaders from the natives - this topic is not closed and you have no leg to stand on.
Except the house wasn't theirs and nothing was stolen. The Arabs owned 45% of the land and their state got about 45% (of the best) Palestinian land. The arabs never had a country in Palestine, they were to get a country after the partition. The partition did not affect individual ownership rights either, just state lines. Arab land owners on the Israeli side of the partition retained their property and possessions as long as they did not join Israel's enemies.
Nonsense. 1967 - the Land for peace resolution. Israel says yes, the arab world says "no peace, no recognition, no negotiations". 1999-2000 - Bill Clinton, Barak, Arafat - does it ring a bell? An extremely generous deal offered to Arafat and he walked out without the courtesy of a counter-offer.

Being "legal" doesn't mean being "just". All of the world's lawyers could not prevent us to point out that the poeple concerned - the Palestinians - had no weight whatsoever in the matter. And the invasion itself was aggressive and against a people that was disarmed by the Brits years before. The same Brits against whom Israel realized terror acts. Deir Yassin happenned before May 1948.

Nah, that's codswallop. The US squashed democracy in Iran as soon as in 1953 so a monarchy, then a theocracy took place. After preaching for democracy for decades, both the US and Israel realized that people democratically elected people they didn't like - so they didn't recognized them, as is the case in Palestine. Some democracy. Israel? Democracy called, and she asked that you get the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of her side.

Only US money keep these nations and their corrupted elites in check. Their people still hate Israel to their guts, and for good reasons.

Why? I don't question their legitimacy and I don't get the cretins who question the legitimacy of Israel. The Palestinian state would have been a legitimate state indeed had they accepted the partition resolution and made peace with Israel. Too bad they refused to have a state and chose terror, wars, violence.

As I said, your presence in Canada is not just. And the Palestinians "had weight" in this matter, they were merely outvoted in a democratic UN process. It's not that they had no weight, they could not have their way so they chose the highway.

Arabs never had a country in the Levant, oh really?

    http://domin.dom.edu/faculty/dperry/hist276fall/calendar/islam/images/Islam Expansion Map.jpg

I think the longer someone lives in a nation, the more rights they have to a nation, because they're more established.

It's mighty funny you frown upon American colonialism, but not Jewish colonialism.

Well they wanted to be an independent state alongside the UK, the Arabs want to be an independent state in place of Israel. See the difference?
