Do you think that Satan is merely thousands of years old?

Or is Satan millions of years old?

Could Satan be older than the last major BigBang event of roughly 13.72 or so years ago??????

Could Covering Cherub Helel who is known to Christians as Lucifer Satan perhaps be TRILLIONS OF years old??????

Could Covering Cherub Helel have been around before the creation of space which would roughly correspond with the creation of TIME.... because Time.... is related to SPACE?????!!!!!

Rumour has it that the Book of Job is even older than the Book of Genesis.... and.....
is it possible that somewhat PESSIMISTIC or dark......
psychological research could play a huge role in explaining what is really going on on this earth at this time???????

    Job chapter one.....

Now to jump to a concept that could scare Theistic Satanists..... [ who have usually been instructed by Satan to claim to be Atheists]......
the second near death experience account of former Atheist and Orthodox Jewish Rabbi Alon Anava seems to hint that perhaps Satan is beginning to repent of his former Idlatry... of SELF?????!!!!

You are going to want to go to the 1:11:00 mark in this video about the second near death experience account of Rabbi Alon Anava and Revelations chapter 12 will begin to make a lot more sense.

    Revelation 12:9
"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

I AM quite pleased when a poll question gets something around a fifty fifty split....

Could Satan be playing a Stanley Milgram Ph. D. style joke on Satanists????

Seems likely to me that the creation story of Genesis, from day 1 when 'God prepared the heavens and earth for His creation' to day 6 when 'God created man in His image' encompasses a large chunk of the history of the universe ('days' being a metaphorical terms for ages). If the 'Tree of Knowledge' story is an allegory for our developement from primitive beast to modern human (which also seems likely), that would put Lucifer having been around since before we started using tools, making fire, burying our dead and such other non-beastly activities. So he's prolly at least a couple million years old.

    Good post.....
That is what I thought for a long time as well......

but since I began to take the BigBang Theory more seriously I assume that a verse in Job would put Covering Cherub Helel's beginning back to the time of the creation of the earth.... which is at least five billion years ago...... or perhaps this verse would indicate at least thirteen point two billion years in the past??????

Job 38 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

    6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Satan is a two year old, clearly. Perpetually. He doesn't age.

Near death experiencer Kevin Zadai Th. D. was shown that in Eden......
Covering Cherub Helel who is known to Christians as Lucifer Satan..... ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and then fell.......

I assume that the two chapters of lament by YHWH over the fall of Lucifer are a bit like when King David lamented over the death of his son Absolom????

I don't think that this is one of the videos where he refers to Satan eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil....
but at least this is an introduction to Kevin Zadai.....

    Isaiah 14

14 For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.

2 And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the Lord for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

5 The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.

6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.

8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.

9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?

11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

    16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.

19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.

20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.

22 For I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the Lord.

You are indeed correct about Ego... it is like a perpetual child......

With the concept of heaven being Gods kingdom of perfect love, peace, and order. It seems incongruous that one named Lucifer should dwell there accusing his brethren, gathering a following, rebelling against God, becoming Satan and being cast out. But that is in accordance to scripture. It begs the question, how does evil begin in a place where there is none? At any rate, in answer to the OP, I'd guess that Satan is eternal because he is spirit and spirit cannot end.
It is better to turn our backs to Satan and look to God, than to turn our backs to God and lament Satan's fall. Satan is only interested in our destruction, and our concerns mean nothing to him. As for me, I lament what must be Gods sorrow in the matter. So I look to God for his pleasure, and leave the matter to him.

The book of Job has some influences from Zoroastrianism and the concept of Satan is also often attributed to the Persian influence on Judaism. So my answer is that Satan dates back to around the time of the Babylonian exile when Zoroastrianism starts to evolve Judaism into a monotheistic religion.

Well just after the Babylonian exile, during second temple Judaism.
