Obama Tops Public’s List of Best President in Their Lifetime ... Jul 11, 2018 · Survey Report. When asked which president has done the best job in their lifetimes, more Americans name Barack Obama than any other president. More than four-in-ten (44%) say President in Their Lifetime ... !important;">www.pewresearch.org › politics › 2018/07/11 I don't know of any other modern day President that has done such a bad job with the economy and with foreign relations. Most of the jobs he created by his policies were low paying service and part time jobs. Many couldn't support a living wage, much less support a family. He had the worst recovery in 50 years. His efforts to solidify his Nobel Peace Prize has cost hundreds of thousands of lives. Seen much of the population move and cost America billions to defend against an invasion of Ukraine that may never of happened if he had kept an agreement America signed onto. All this because you no longer have honest reporting in this country.
I have noticed that Trump's problem have not been created by Trump, but created by the lies and propaganda created by the Democrats and liberals...
The news, as we call it, is on a steep decline. One reason is their clearly expressed biases. Pundits on TV news will say all kinds of ridiculous things and their bosses let them get away with it. Same with newspapers. I will say one of the oldest newspapers in circulation is the Wall Street Journal and I find it to be the most balanced. My experience -- I worked for newspapers all my life, starting as a paperboy on a bicycle and retiring as production manager for one of the largest newspapers in my state. I now read the local newspaper on-line and miss holding that paper in my hand. And I miss the smell of newspapers -- LOL
Thankfully the media is rapidly losing it's credibility and viewership and is being replaced by social media outlets like X and podcasts. The mainstream media is on life support and primarily being kept alive by mostly elderly folks who don't really understand or care to learn about social media. Just look at the viewership demographics now compared to 10 years ago. Folks are starting to see it, the other day some liberal writer wrote an article explaining this in panic talking about how the "Right" has taken control over social media and podcasts and the Left has no hard hitters in the sphere at the moment. I put Right in quotation marks because this person cited names like Joe Rogan and Tim Pool as "Right" when neither of them are Conservatives. This will change soon enough, just give it time. The good news is that the legacy media is dying fast and the "new" media is dominated by people who aren't completely insane. In the near future it will be the new media who gets to write the narrative in the history books and the likes of CNN will be the novelty news that nobody takes seriously.
About 95% of staff in the media claim to support the Democrat rather than the Republican party. One thing I've noticed is that People who listen to the news believe the news pretty much automatically as a rule. I've heard people say they don't believe anything on the news, so I asked who started the war in Ukraine and they shout at me "Russia", no need to think about it, they are well trained.
That's how people feel, and you: 1. Disagree, so you assume the media did something to form their opinion 2. Obama being one of the worst is your personal opinion, but 44% of Americans thing he was the best in their lifetime Younger people (45 and younger) only remember few presidents in their adult lifetime: 1. W Bush. Terrorism, color coded threat levels, American wars, massive economic meltdown. 2. Obama. Stock market tripled, and things were generally all right. Well spoken. 3. Trump. Chaos, lies, riots, deep division, blame game, Jan-6, economic melt-down 4. Biden. Luke-warm stuttering guy who failed to inspire anyone And Clinton had the best economy, - so good that we'll probably never see economy like that again, which explains his 33% score. If you were an adult when Reagan was president, then you are not young anymore, so the 32% for Reagan makes sense. Many of his fans are not with us anymore, but he WAS a good president. So, if you have to pick one from those 4, I am not surprised 44% would pick Obama. Media.....people don't even watch TV media anymore. 0.02% watch CNN even at prime time, and RW social media influencers outnumber MSM 38-1 in viewerships, which probably explains why many thing Obama was somehow the worst in our lifetime, because they have been parroting that for 12 straight years.
Having accepted the news and made up their minds people are not usually able to change their opinions. One good thing about the news though, is if you can access old news you can find it reported things that actually happened and then can not be retracted and therefore do not fit in with a narrative dreamed up later. Joe Biden lied on this very topic: [President Biden Holds a Press Conference Feb 24th 2022] "Sorry to keep you waiting The Russian military has begun a brutal assault on the people of Ukraine without provocation, without justification, without necessity. Etc. The claim is this is the latest news, implied by Biden rushing in, and the lie that Russia moving forces in to protect Donetsk, was an invasion, and the lie that it was without necessity.
That contradicts the news from just 5 days earlier where explosions - artillery shells supplied from the US to Kyiv, and used by the Azov battalion, are reported, large numbers, from Kyiv's attacks on Donetsk and Luhansk. That was what Russia moved in to defend the cities from. But all that was needed to persuade the US public was for Biden to lie and be reported in the news, and then it was all 'without justification'.
They sure did. They said Obama policies created ten million jobs. Said he had the longest monthly growth of any American President. Said those signing up for work had dropped drastically. Every bit of that is true. But it's what they left out tells the real story. Almost all those jobs were low paying service and part time jobs that couldn't support a living wage. Obama the best? Did we forget? He literally drove 3 MILLION Americans out of the labor market, encouraged them to "upgrade" their education, supporting them with below poverty unemployment benefits that literally made them unemployment until Trump's economy pushed them back into the market burdened by record nee student loans. Federalised the student loan program so it couldn't be eliminated with a bankruptcy. Gave us Obama care with the lie that we could keep our doctor if we liked them. Tried to convince us that 3% GDP growth would never happen again. Gave us race riots.
