    I'll be where I'm at for all the previous swearing in's, work.
    It will be interesting to see if everyone's opinion stays the same 6 months from now.
    Mr. Trump is definitely a horse of another color.
    I'm really not sure if America knows what color that will be, or if Mr. Trump does.
    He has a habit of changing direction.

    Trump is a bit too liberal on some issues, but just because he is not perfect does not mean he won't be vastly superior to BO.

    Anyway, I didn't see Bernie or Barak or Hillary give out a list of who they were going to put on the high courts when they were running for office.

    The high court appointee should not be political. However, some conservative appointments don't always turn out to be conservative. BO's last appointee was not a liberal but the pubs stonewalled it. Any party doing that is shameful.

    Celebrate isn't exactly the word for it but I will at least be proud that even though my fellow Americans made a horrific mistake we are a nation where the new head of state succeeds the prior one in a bloodless transition.

    I discussed this in a recent poll.

    Anyway, ALL court appointments are done for political or personal gain.

    The most important qualification for any federal justice is to support and defend the US Constitution as it was written and what it meant at the time, circa 1789.

    Kagan might not be a radical Leftist like Obama, but she is still a Liberal, and her votes have not been far from the Liberal agenda she was needed to produce.

    I do think that every Federal Jurist needs to be able to give their take on the law when being interviewed by the Senate. Anyone who adds one jot or dot beyond what the USC says is unfit for office. I also believe it is high time for fed justices to be impeached for straying from the letter of the law of the USC.

    Didn’t celebrate Obama’s; don’t plan on celebrating Trump’s.

    That isn’t to say that I come at it from a place of not knowing what each meant. Trump’s inauguration is the beginning of a dark ages of sorts. His cabinet reflects that. His stated goals reflect that. His incurious nature and dismissal of norms reflects that.

    As it will be around one o'clock in the morning of the 21st, I will turn off the TV immediately after the Chief Justice says 'Congratulations Mr. President' and shakes Drumpf's hand. I will not watch the speech. I will then go to bed. I will wake up to an uncertain future. No more long term plans.
