How would you solve the problems of Black society?

I want lots of Orientals and Jews in the United States because I like Orientals and Jews.

Why not? Blacks did that for decades before the Civil Rights Bill and big time welfare state the Democrats put them in. This gets back to the difference between equality and equity. Equality gives individuals the opportunity of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (property). Equity steals from the rich to give to the poor and the Government bureaucrat oligards. Equity is Marxism. Bring people down to the lowest common denominator. Bring whites, Asians, Jews down to the level of those who just want what they have and are willing to steal it.

I find it hard to believe that a black society could ever be repaired by a white one...whites can't even fix there own.

 

The racial lens is a dead end. We're all just people.

 

Jews and Orientals tend to be intelligent people. They have low rates of crime and illegitimacy. In these respects they are very different from a race it is dangerous to criticize.

 

Now the question must be asked, What is the cause of their poverty. Many arguments are made that whites are the cause. The reason whites are the cause range from their inability to partake in land early in the years of our nation, to job denials based on names commonly held by blacks. I think many of these arguments hold little water. I think the major cause is education yet they are still able to get the same education as any white person. They get free schooling as well. Yet their demographic is only 2nd in worse graduation rate and literacy rate. Right behind the native Americans.

The problem isnt what resources they have cause they most definitely have the resources to increase literacy. The real problem is their culture. According to Thomas Sowell in his book “white liberals and black rednecks” he claims blacks will make fun of blacks who study. Often calling them uncle toms or acting white. Their communities often frown on education culturally. It’s hard to try and make school cool in a culture that idolizes the streets, criminal activities, drugs, sex, and parties. That book is a good read. I suggest it to anyone that is into reading.

 

Yes...education can help us design even more effective WMD...
and more highly toxic chemicals to get into our food, water and air.
And look at all the "educated" government folks in D.C....
constantly providing loads of entertainment for us.
How boring life might be without "education".

So, the question is, why is the culture the way it is?

You don't think coming from slavery with no academic tradition, abused and maligned as a culture, segregated, an oppressive legal system, kept from having their voice heard, and kept from gaining wealth might make some from that culture mistrust white culture? And maybe why some idolize those that can make it outside the dominant culture.

 

I read a study on homework once. Asian kids on average study for two hours per day, white kids one hour and black kids one half hour. That does not mean Asian kids are more intelligent. It means they come from different cultures. The black kid may spend two hours on the basket ball court practicing free throws and the Asian kid can't dribble a ball. Neither says anything about their innate intelligence. Practice sharpens skills. the IQ test measures two skills.
Here's something else to think about, 55% of African Americans are middle class and above. They are just as law-abiding as their economic peers. What does that tell you? Maybe it has more to do with the poverty rate, lack of economic mobility due to institutional racism and easy access to guns rather than the nature of a race.

 

That book I suggested goes through that. I suggest reading it cause their academic-scores were higher during segregation than they are now. The D.C. school called Dunbar is a perfect example.

 

More importantly, NON-WHITE students are statistically more likely to be more educated than whites. So not only do black Americans have access to the same standard of education as everyone else - the statistics support the likelihood of their superiority.

If one particular group of non-whites fails to exceed white folk in education, it cannot have anything to do with The System, or Racism, or any other similar BS. That leaves only themselves to answer the question of why.

This is where the old and venerable truism comes into play. That is - the distinguishing feature of academic success IN ALL DEMOGRAPHICS, is parental support of education. In every society, every economic strata, and every culture - this is absolutely true.

It has NOTHING to do with intelligence. Academic success is not a function of talent, it's a function of hard work.

 

No, and I'll tell you why.

Many years ago I worked with a refugee group from the Indo Chinese war. They were families who'd come from deep peasantry, nil education, no wealth, and no English. Many were also personally massively traumatised by horrors I can barely stand to think about - and I've seen and heard it all when it comes to wars and PTSD.

Here's the thing .. many of these people IMMEDIATELY got to work taking advantage of the First World opportunities they were suddenly able to access. The parents put their own 'issues' aside, and got on with ensuring their kids would never live in poverty or be downtrodden. That first generation were doctors, dentists, lawyers, accountants, business owners, etc etc. All it took was parents determined to exploit opportunities in their childrens' favour. That meant wholesale support of education, and caring enough to consider the best educational choices for securing well paid and stable work.

 

I haven’t read anything that suggests this. Maybe you could share. I know that whites are not superior in academics, however I know they’re not on the bottom of the list. If the statistics point to black superiority in academics then why aren’t they?

 

So, basically you have no response to my suggestions of why African American culture is the way it is. Instead you cherry pick the Dunbar school to suggest black academic scores were higher before segregation. Dunbar was a rare black magnet school that only took the best and brightest in D. C., after desegregation it had to take in the dumb neighborhood kids. The "best and the brightest" had to go to their desegregated neighborhood schools where they were still the best and the brightest. Most black kids got second rate educations. Unlike Jews or Asians, Blacks never had a cultural academic tradition.
Sowell goes on about Blacks taking on "cracker culture". That is racist BS. Does he mean some Blacks act like rowdy, loud, unsophisticated boobs because they are copying the white man....I think they did that all on their own.

 

Actually there is some evidence to support that. Many of the whites in areas where slavery was more dominant migrated from poorer parts of England. That culture followed many of them slaves and into their lives even after the destruction of slavery. To deny is to say that what is known as Ebonics entered them through genetics rather than taught to them by these poor white communities. Ebonics and today’s deep southern accents aren’t far apart. Thomas Sowell is one I quote because I truly admire him.

As far as Dunbar it wasn’t just forcing them to take lower class African Americans. Many of the good teachers the school held also quit because of the behaviors of the poorer students the school got after desegregation. It stands to support the cultural problems of black Americans. It’s not that their race is of less potential but that their culture is literally the bump in the road that needs to be smoothed over.

 

Race is an issue where, the more one ignores facts that are easy to document, the more enlightened one is said to be.

 

Those who blame white racism for black social pathology cannot explain why black social pathology has gotten worse since 1964, when the Civil Rights Act was passed, and the War on Poverty was declared.

Races create characteristic cultures everywhere they live, even when they are poor. Chinese and Jewish communities are known for low crime rates.

 

Non-White Americans top your Education statistics. Look it up for yourself.

The statistics tell us that NON-WHITES are at the top. They don't specify ethnicity - but if you're going to invoke ethnicity, then you have to concede that it has nothing to do with 'colour'.
