A teen boy got repeated administrations of a vaccine called "Gardasil" that is supposed to be designed to prevent a certain type of STD.

Mainly it's being marketed to the parents of girls to help prepare their daughter for when she becomes sexually active in her teens.

But Gardasil has been known or suspected to cause some extreme immune system reactions in rare cases that can lead to permanent life-long effects.

Here is the boy, before and after:

Lawsuit Filed Against Pharmaceutical Giant Merck on Behalf of Young Man Allegedly Injured by Gardasil

The law firm of Baum Hedlund Aristei & Goldman filed a lawsuit Wednesday against pharmaceutical giant Merck on behalf of a young man, Zachariah Otto, who was allegedly injured by Gardasil, Merck’s HPV vaccine. The complaint seeks damages, including punitive damages, for negligence; strict liability (failure to warn); strict liability (manufacturing defect); breach of warranty; common law fraud; and violation of California’s unfair competition law.

Zachariah claims multiple Gardasil injections, which he first received at the age of 16, caused him to develop life-altering injuries, including dysautonomia, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), Orthostatic Intolerance, small fiber neuropathy, chronic fatigue syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, autoimmune disease and fibromyalgia, as well as a constellation of other serious health issues. POTS is an autoimmune condition that impacts the autonomic nervous system (which automatically regulates critical bodily functions) and the sympathetic nervous system (which is involved in the "fight or flight" response). POTS symptoms include fainting, migraine headaches and anxiety among many other serious conditions.

    Here's another story:
Petition · Stop the HPV VACCINE. It killed my son! · Change.org

Christopher Bunch, age 14, received the first dose of the HPV vaccine on June 29, 2018. Only 46 days later, he died on August 14, 2018.
He was taken to the Emergency Room on the night of August 8th. On the doctor's advice her was moved to Children's Hospital in Iowa City, where the doctors discovered he had encephalitis. A Neurologist then diagnosed him with acute demyelinating encephalomyelitis (ADEM), a rare autoimmune disease marked by a sudden, widespread attack of inflammation in the brain and spinal cord. Christopher went downhill fast, going into respiratory failure, paralysis to the left side of his body, and then started having seizures. He was treated with extremely high doses of steroids to combat the swelling in his brain. His case was so severe at this point that they had no other choice but to perform a craniotomy on the right side of his skull to help with brain swelling. His brain continued to swell and he ended up having a brain herniation.

Elijah Bunch wrote this about his son: "My son was only 14 years old, bright, smart, handsome, an awesome baseball player. He was on the honor roll and just 2 days from starting high school. He died as a direct result of the HPV VACCINE. My son should have never been given this medicine as he has NO CERVIX!"

'Robbed of their Womanhood' - Teens After Merck's Gardasil Shot

Olivia and Madelyne Meylor are in their early 20s. They still want the world to know what happened to them as teens after they received three Gardasil shots – an HPV vaccine marketed as a way to prevent cervical cancer. Diagnoses of Premature or Primary Ovarian Failure (POF) followed leaving only 5 percent chance one of them could ever get pregnant.

In this story about a pending federal court case they were involved in last year, they reported that not only did their ovaries stop producing eggs, but they also have insomnia, night sweats and headaches. They say they can not get pregnant, but might be able to carry a baby. As teenagers, it would appear that they both entered into full-blown menopause.

Coincidence? Genetic predisposition tests ruled out genetics for the disorder which is rare in teenagers. Their mother says all roads lead back to the fateful shots in 2007. You can see from the local news report that Merck denies any correlation to the vaccine, upholds the results in its clinical trials, and claims that similar adverse were found in placebo studies. Yet, this study in 2013 shows that POF does indeed follow Gardasil shots, and stems from adjuvants in the vaccine causing the body to attack the reproductive system, as well as cause cognitive and psychiatric disturbances.

Imagine if a toy or candy created tens of thousands of adverse health reports and over a hundred deaths? Would there not be some kind of outcry or intervention? It’s interesting that legal scrutiny is aimed at energy drink manufacturers, but not for injections given out by doctors.

One has to question whether these vaccines should be routinely administered to young teens. Not every teen is going to be sexually active.

You think you can avoid the consequences of free-for-all sex with a vaccine, but in a twist of irony, the vaccine ends up ruining your life.

Come on, a normal child would not need to take a vaccine like this.
And if anyone says that is normal, well, that says a lot more about them and their parenting habits, and views on sex...

You know, maybe I'm just being old-fashioned and quaint, but in the old days a high schooler might only have one sexual partner... occasionally two, and very oftentimes none

What's happening nowadays that children are needing these vaccines? Are young teens going around now like swingers from the 70s?

Gardasil should be banned. I think it was banned in Japan.

Also, a girl can do just as well with a pap smear, right?

114 kids died following the Gardasil vax in 2011.

A friend of mine's daughter went into anaphylactic shock immediately following a Gardasil shot, and she started having seizures.
Two years later, she still has seisures. Before the shot, she was unaware of any allergies and did not have seizures.

That is one vaccine I would not give to anyone.

All the more astonishing is that the following states are now requiring HPV vaccinations for young people in public schools:
Rhode Island, Virginia, Hawaii, Texas, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico (a territory of the US)

The governor of Texas, Rick Perry, signed an executive order requiring girls aged 11-12 to be vaccinated with Gardasil. Girls who haven't been vaccinated will not be allowed to enter the sixth grade of school, exception is allowed if the parents can demonstrate religious or conscience reasons.

Again, this isn't something people can catch outside of sexual intercourse contact, and typically it is only females who are the ones who end up suffering the effects of it (the virus can lead to cervical cancer).

Boys might not have a cervix, but they can carry HPV without symptoms. When they become a man or a sexually active teen, they can share and spread the virus. Not only through the cervix but also the throat(oral) and colon(anal). It's only common sense.

4,000 deaths a year from Cervical Cancer and 15,000 new cases each year - but a half dozen bad
reactions are what you base your life on. Oh, well - whatever.

Correction: If they become a sexually active. Not all of them will. You are assuming all of them will sleep around with lots of girls.
Maybe that is the case in YOUR social circles, but that is not how it is in every other social circle.

Requiring groups like the Amish to take these vaccines would just be completely asinine.

Requiring anybody to take such products would be illegal under the US Constitution.

My state requires them with certain exceptions. That some people are really messed up by them is not unknown but yet they are still mandated for the most part. It is one of the things where I tend to agree with the anti-vax people on.

Likely your state follows the lead of WHO and CDC--they don't give a damn about Nuremberg principles. They see the human population only as test subjects for Big Pharma.

The truth is, science and medicine get it wrong. Even in cases where most folks won't have a reaction, some people will. This has always been the case. The unfortunate truth is that identifying these folks who will have adverse reactions cannot always be determined, or predicted. Gardasil is one of those products that kills folks in some cases. And yet, the governments in many places mandate that regardless of potential risk, compliance is more important than the lives of those who would react negatively to these vaccinations. Which is why government shouldn't ever be the enforcement function. The illiberal folks who demand this under the guise of feminism or progressive misunderstand that their desire to forego one harm often leads to others which never factor into their demand that, in this case, evil men, can't pass a virus to them. So, you inoculate boys even though the tests for safety never considered whether gardasil was appropriate to be given to boys, or even safe. And where these vaccinations are mandatory, these government entities are artificially creating an annuity for Merck, are they not? Why should medicine get to be a reservation of government sponsored success? Usually, liberal/progressive folks would be against this, but here, not so much. If you take your product to market, and government requires its use, both government and the drug manufacturer should be liable for the harms they have inflicted. And one of those outcomes should be that mandatory vaccination should be ended. If you choose to vaccinate, you take on some of the risk yourself. If you are forced to be vaccinated, you do not take on the same responsibility for that risk.

Only to someone who has never heard of rumspringa. Plenty of Amish kids having sex from the age of 16 until they decide to commit to the community. Some never do or lapse. Indeed, it would be asinine to suggest that the Amish don't need access to this vaccine.

Some people are happy to use the possibility of a horrible death to scare girls & women into adhering to their idea of how women should behave. It is just as barbarous an attitude whether held by an educated Westerner or some peasant in a third world nation.

Your post reminds me of Montesquieu's observation: "There is no greater tyranny than that which is perpetuated under the shield of the law and in the name of justice."

Yes they do. The thing is they get 'it' wrong far, far, far less often than people who reject the advice of scientists and medical doctors. So if I have to choose between your advice and theirs - guess who I going with!

FYI Astra Zeneca, despite having contracts to produce the worlds largest number of COVID vaccine doses, will only cover its cost of production. Other producers will see a some profit but nothing like they make from their best selling drugs and health products. This is because (and it should be obvious but I'll state it anyway for the ill-informed) unlike drugs the profits from vaccines tail off fairly rapidly once the majority of the candidate pool in any population has been vaccinated. Every potential customer for a vaccine is in most cases a 'one shot ' i.e. someone who will usually never need that vaccine again. Great health model, terrible business model. Think back on how many times you've bought a particular medicine and then decide which is more profitable for the maker, vaccines or drugs?

So much for the generous 'annuities' the evil government is handing the drug companies.

I would simply point out that right now, lots of the "scientists" in government, folks like Fauci for example, are telling us the shot may only be good for 7 months. And then boosters, yearly? Who knows yet. Looks like a spankin new annuity to me.
