I didn't get a chance to listen to the Jan 6 committee during Hutchinson's testimony. I'm curious: how do she do under cross examination?
Gee, how original. I think I've only heard that a few hundred times from fans of the Orange Insurrectionist, trying to find a way to discredit her testimony. You know, since they can't do it factually, they do it by implication. Everyone knows there is a different evidentiary standard between congressional hearings and a legal proceeding. While some of her testimony would not be admissible in court, it doesn't mean it isn't true. And that my friend is why so much effort is being put in to calling what she said in to question. Because what she said was just so darn damning.
The whole purpose is to sway public opinion and potentially eliminate a candidate in 2024. The DNC should be billed for these hearings as they are campaign events.
Democrats all over the country have been calling for an insurrection in response to recent Supreme Court decisions and yet I don’t see anyone on the left complaining about that. Odd. Additionally, her testimony is hearsay and the Washington Post has reported that the Jan 6 Committee didn’t even attempt to corroborate her story prior to calling the press conference, ahem hearing, to let her say what she wanted to say. And, Trump’s lead security agent and driver has allegedly said the story is false. The J6 Committee isn’t about uncovering the truth. It’s simply a political hit job to try to prevent Trump from running again in 2024. The committee chairman has already said they won’t be recommending charges against Trump. They just want to trick the American people into believing our Democracy was almost overturned by an unarmed half naked main in a raccoon scarf and Viking horns.
Her testimony is nothing more than second-hand hearsay, and where have we seen that before? Wait, I remember, Russia Collusion hoax and impeachment proceedings.
How did she do when a real Republican member of the committee did a re direct questioning of her testimony or asked a question of her?
Adam Kinzinger Can’t Handle It When Brit Hume Serves up Some Truth Traitors. "Cassidy Hutchinson’s" wild "story about #SteeringWheelGate blew up on the Jan. 6 Committee. The Committee was left scrambling, with even" lying fake news "media reporters asking what kind of corroboration they had for her claims to an alleged incident she hadn’t even seen that is disputed by the agents involved. Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA), Jamie Raskin (D-MD), and Liz Cheney (R-WY) stumbled all over themselves, unable to answer that question and the Secret Service made them look bad when they said the Committee hadn’t even bothered to check with them about the story. It showed that the Committee didn’t care about the truth." Of course. It's a rigged show trial. Everyone knows that. It's Trump Revenge Porn while inflation burns the economy down.
Trump doesn't need to testify to an illegit and illegal committee...Let his team cross-examine the witnesses the committee has put on display to the public to form the narrative the committee wants.
No, the democracy was almost overturned by a soon-to-be-ex-president(at the time) who couldn't handle losing and tried to get as many people as possible to help him throw out the results. Scarf and Horns guy was just one of the stooges who bought into his narrative. But you're sort of right, the J6 committee is, in effect, a political hit job being put on by a party who has little else to sell themselves with this year. It's being hyped up and promoted to distract from our current president, without a doubt. But, they are also getting the truth out there about Trump. After what he did, the fact that there are still folks out there who would put him back in office says far more about those people than it does about the Democrats.
Your pathetic desperation in trying to dismiss her damning, revealing testimony as hearsay couldn't be more transparent. What hoax? Manafort conspired with Kilimnik to give the Kremlin internal polling data. Donnie J entered in to a conspiracy with Russians to obtain dirt on Hillary he was told was in the possession of the Russian government. Former Trump White House communications director Alyssa Farah on Thursday detailed the series of events that led to the damning testimony Cassidy Hutchinson — a former top aide to White House chief of staff Mark Meadows — delivered during a Jan. 6 Select Committee public hearing this week. During an appearance on CNN’s “New Day,” Farah described putting Hutchinson, her personal friend, in touch with Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who serves as vice chair for the committee, a couple months ago. Farah recalled Hutchinson saying there was “more I want to share with the committee” after Hutchinson gave her initial testimony to the panel behind closed doors. Farah revealed that Trumpworld had assigned lawyers to many lower level staffers who could not cover legal fees on their own. Farah noted that Hutchinson was initially represented by Stefan Passantino, a former Trump White House lawyer with deep ties to the former president. In the weeks leading up to her testimony on Tuesday, Hutchinson switched her lawyer to Jody Hunt, former Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ chief of staff when Sessions recused himself from the Russia probe. Nah.
