I'm watching it in bite-size chunks (nearly 3 hours? ), and I'm about 40 minutes in. I've lost count of the number of times I've watched Bitter Lake. Fantastic stuff Adam Curtis!
Well I hope you get to the end. I also liked "Bitter lake" a very informative documentary, as are many of Adam Curtis documenarties. Very interesting facts about the Colonel Gaddafi story.
I reached that bit last night, Rivetting stuff. I'll bet Adam Curtis isn't the politicians' flavour of the month movie producer - in fact I'm surprised it and BL (still available on iPlayer a year on) are allowed into the public arena. So al Magrahbi wasn't the culprit on Lockerbie then? What a stich-up, and then for the poor bloke to die of prostate cancer when he got back to Libya?
Yes I remember all the hoo-haar especially from the Americans that how disgraceful it was that the Scottish Government actually released an innocent man. When in fact their anger would have been better directed towards their own Government that had lied to them in the first place!
Yep. one of the most shameful examples of scapegoating in recent history - in all history probably. Another example is the wicked persecuting of Julian Assange and Edward Snowden. 'And some have power thrust upon them who are too (*)(*)(*)(*)ing stupid to deserve it.'?
