I acknowledge my White Privlege. How do we deal with it?

You have to do a better job of blaming others for your own failings, and stop trying to succeed at things. The last thing you want to do is to take responsibility for your own actions. This only leads you further down the path of being a privileged white person. Instead, learn to become a victim of society, not a contributing member of society. Only then can you demand equality from others, while still blaming the others for your inequality.

Gore got 88 percent of the black vote. Kerry got 92 percent, but blacks only voted Obama because he was black, not because he was a Democrat. According to rightwing logic, blacks vote Democrat for handouts, but they also voted Democrat for the first time in history in 2008.

 

Just think of it. Such high percentage turn out and the Democrat party still treats them like their slaves on the plantation.

No, because he was black and he looked and acted really nice. He was put in office by mostly White people (and 92% of the black vote) who probably wanted a "First Black President".... That is why some of my friends voted for him.

I still remember how appalled I was the first time I heard his party refer to him by skin color. I visualized a prime buck being sold on a dock in Savannah.

Cause we all know whites don't have stresses and insecurities and problems those entail. You on the one hand say a white can't possibly understand the life of a black but blacks know all about the life of whites. Care to reconcile that? And what advantage did I have over blacks as capable and willing to work as hard as I did?

I had a great employee once, a young black woman. She was raised in a nasty Chicago housing project called Cabrini Green. Nevertheless her mother was able to raise her well and put the right motivations in her mind. She won a scholarship to college and ended up with a master degree in mechanical engineering. The only privilege she had was the privilege of having a good mother. I assume it is possibly harder for a black person to achieve what she did but she managed with everything against her other than that mother. Sometimes we need to look in the mirror.
