I am a leftist, I also believe the United States should end the trans culture war via an amendment.

Very simple and too the point and considering the make up of the states I think it would pass.

Section 1: Neither the United States nor any State shall pass any law violating the separation of the sexes outside the home in places of nudity, physical competition, incarceration, and places of protection for the abused.

Section 2: Sex shall be defined by genitalia at birth, except in the case in intersex conditions for which shall be regulated by the several states.

I don’t think society would be better served by making transmen that look like men with the exterior anatomy of a man being forced to use women’s facilities — nor the inverse of this with transwomen.

Athletic commissions should determine it for their respective activities, not the state.

Now if they have not started medically transitioning then they shouldn’t be in the spaces of the opposite biological sex as defined.

Sounds exactly like the founders wrote it! You are insane if you think you can get 3/4 of the states to see this as a priority. Its not happening.

This is not the sort of thing that belongs in the constitution. It is a social issue. Social issues change with the winds. So I vote no.

thats the point to stifle the trans movement and prevent them from ever getting on their feet again by using the conservative gains to intrench sex superiority over gender identity and then allow them to block transgenderism from resurrected by just a 1/4 minority.

    The movement needs to die.

If an adult wants to do that to his own body, that's fine by me.

Encouraging children to do it is a criminal act, and some states have criminalized such perverted behavior.

The transgender movement desires to prioritize their individual desires over the rights of others and claim its equality.

The more time and energy we waste on ginned up culture war clashes the less we have for addressing actual problems.

And if you guys were actually consistent about that position, maybe there would be something to discuss.

    Not at all.

The rights of females to be secure in their vulnerable and private spaces takes a back seat to trans agenda.

The trans agenda expects that thousands of years of gender separation and associated privacy be thrown out the window to accommodate them.

    Female sports is another example.

The trans movement desires to prioritize their agenda over all others.

    Why is that?

This keeps the government out of sex as they can't pass laws allowing boys in girls bathrooms

I can think of very few things more absurd than a constitutional amendment to keep boys out of girls bathrooms.

States requiring schools to let boys play on the girls teams in sports is crazier. Or letting men into womens shelters or housing men in women's prisons.

Yes. Anti-health. I'm sorry you so vehemently disagree with what basically everyone in medicine has to say about these patients.

You speak for "everyone" in medicine with misinformation. Transgenderism is not treated with mental health activity which is where it should happen. Instead it is "treated" with drugs and surgery. Recruiting for transgenderism is the latest woke "band wagon" and is negative to good mental health. Let the transgenders do what they want themselves. Leave them alone. Get off the band wagon.
