Back in 1988 when I was 29 I actually thought that I had the Bible and the Creators plans for humanity pretty well figured out………….. I think that all of us have been given a lot of information over these past 25 years since the Reagan Presidency that has made the world look much more complex…….. Overall….. I am glad that I no longer have such a simplistic view of what is happening on the earth.

Third time is not the charm in politics.

    10. Willard is acceptable to the GOP's corporate elite, and as their principle toady McConnell boasts, they have been mauling the TPs lately.

    9. It will be nine years that Willard will have been unemployed after his skimpy experience in political office, and he is well-rested.

    8. Those who already celebrated his 2012 Landslide! are well-rehearsed and eager to re-live the fantasy.

    7. After 55 attempts, the GOP has now abandoned pretending to repeal nationalized RomneyCare, so his signal achievement won't be as big an embarrassment.

    6. The increasing percentage of the electorate that are Black and Hispanic will have had their votes suppressed, leaving mainly just women and younger, better-educated voters to confront.

    5. Despite being another Northerner, he'll take the Confederacy like Grant took Richmond.

    4. He's older than Hillary Clinton, but she can be relied upon not to exploit the age differential.

    3. His family does not indulge in drunken brawls.

    2. Randy Paul seems to be the only viable alternative, but AIPAC says, "No."

    1) "President Stench"* does capture the mood of the electorate.

His religion has zero to do with my vote. I personally liked him as well, except that he pandered too much to the conservatives. I don't think Flip Flopping is bad. I believe it's okay for someone to change their mind on a topic. I know I have, I used to be a conservative, and now I'm more of a centrist. I think if Romney ran more moderately and took a risk against conservative values, he'd gain a lot more of the Indy votes.

A fascinating trend is beginning where "conservatives" begin to look at the environment very differently. Mitt could learn a great deal from Mr. Preston Manning, the former leader of Canada's Reform Party… that merged with the Progressive Conservatives to form the Conservative Party that assisted M. P. Stephen Harper to attain the office of Prime Minister.

I think Romney hit his high water mark in 2012. He still has that trust factor working against, even quite a lot of Republicans didn't trust him for changing his views and policies just to run for the presidency.

On the other hand….. Canada's Green Party Leader Ms. Elizabeth May is personally extremely pro-life but due to her political office she supports the pro-choice position. Intelligent people realize that supporting somebody's else freedom to disagree with your own beliefs……… is sometimes a necessary part of our adversarial political and judicial system??!

Yes, I suppose it is how one does it. Romney could say I am personally pro-life but I realize roe v wade is the law of the land and will not work to over throw it.

But if he did that, that would lose him some Republican votes. No the trust factor has played bit in his run both in 2008 and 2012. He lost the nomination in 2008 because Republicans didn't trust him and he lost the election in 2012 because the general populace didn't trust him. There were still Republicans who stayed home in 2012 who couldn't vote for Romney or Obama.

Yes…… very true…… but I am certain that the film "Mitt" would greatly help him this time around.

Also…. more of us are becoming more and more worried about the possibility of a serious devaluation of the USA Dollar…. which makes that "White Horse Prophecy" somewhat more appealing!?

    http://www.politicalforum.com/polit...-could-utah-state-dollar-save-usa-dollar.html
Could a Utah State Dollar save the USA Dollar?
Have you seen any of the following films:

    1. The Future of Food
    2. Food Inc
    3. The World According to Monsanto.

If so..... then you know that the USA dollar to some degree is linked to and backed up by a plan to control the world's production of food in such a way that could eventually produce global famine.

"George Soros says that America must give up the dollar and accept world currency."

    Talking about a flip flopper?

Hillary Clinton is the world's greatest flip flopper, and many people want her to run. Shows you how our public is dumbing down.

The problem is very few Americans pay attention to the daily going ons in Washington. Most only start to once an election approaches or something is done in D.C. that effects their daily life immediately. Very few are like us on this site.

True. The American voter has a short term memory. They only remember what happens that day from a political add.

That may be a bit short, but I seen one poll and I wished I kept it. But slogans from a political campaign decided how approximately 20%, the exact figure I do not remember how they voted. Hope and Change won over whatever McCain's slogan was and since I can remember Obama's and not McCain's, perhaps that is right.

If more of the people in Washington made as much sense when writing about the big issues as Carl does...… we would be much more interested in what they say and write!

Over the past seventy years one nation on the earth has seen cooling in its climate......… that same nation on a per capita basis led the world in planting trees and in desalinating ocean water for agriculture.

    You guessed it........ Israel!

CJ…. what do you think of this poll?

    http://www.politicalforum.com/opini...mney-vs-mitt-plus-jeb-vs-hillary-clinton.html
Jeb Bush vs Mitt Romney vs Mitt plus Jeb…. vs Hillary Clinton?

I have to admit that a four way poll would tend to give more accurate results.

    1. Jeb Bush
    2. Mitt Romney
3 Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush for V. P.
    4 Hillary Clinton

Whatever the cause……. something is happening in the ARctic.

The melting of the ARctic ice does not matter because ice that is floating in water….. does not add to sea level rise as it melts…. but the land based Greenland Ice Pack is another matter altogether.

Whatever the cause……… investment in desalination of ocean water in nations like Jordan is a win - win - win - win - win scenario for the people of Jordan….. as well as for the people of New Orleans… as well as for the people of New Jersey and New York and Bangladesh…. as well as for the people of The Netherlands as well as……..
