I reject your hysterical claims that children are being tortured because their alleged parents violated our immigration laws. Maybe such hyperbolic bullshit works on low wattage individuals but i just laugh at the histrionical bluster. You also cheapen the sufferings of those who actually were tortured-be it Nazi prisoners, Stalinist gulag internees or the victims of Jihadist and Inquisition religious intolerance

You actually made some valid, defensible points -- until you got carried away with accusations about how we on the Right would "willingly risk losing our democracy" in order to support some kind of an "arian ideal". There's you again, Golem, 'painting' with your way-overly 'BROAD BRUSH', as I've pointed out numerous times. You wreck your credibility when you go off on those kinds of reveries....

[IMG]."...and what exactly would you know about an 'Arian ideal'...?!"

The constitution also makes the President in charge of borders and immigration. Any other stupid non sequiturs?

Bullshit. I could as easily say the Dems are so hot on letting anyone in because their hoping to turn then into minimum wage laborers and loyal democrats.

Oh I agree 100%. Trump didn't torture them because their parents violated ANY laws. He tortured them because he believed people like you wanted to see them SUFFER.

Try again. Read the first two sentences that you quoted. It applies to THE WHOLE post.

Of COURSE there are individuals on the right who DO want the immigration problem solved. But that is NOT the current ideological right in our country wants. I'll point out this caveat once or twice in a post. But I'm probably not going to make it after every single phrase.

Yes they are!!!

The law SAYS that ANY person physically present in the territory of the United States, makes NO difference how they entered, can apply for asylum. And that a judge MUST make a determination of whether or not they qualify.

If Trump starts shipping them back to Mexico, he is violating the LAW.... AGAIN. Which is probably of little significance to a convicted felon who abuses women and steals government secrets and hides them in his bathroom. But it IS, nevertheless, against the law!

Now.... the question is HOW you might accomplish that? We know ONE way: the Biden border bill. It facilitates LOCATING anybody who entered this country without a proper visa by funding for more immigration agents. And it facilitates processing them quicker by adding more judges. YOU said you have "shown" that those two things don't work. But, apart from saying it... you have shown NOTHING! And Trump ordered the bill killed. So HOW is he going to do it? You can't think of anything, can you?

Like I said, if you gave a damn about 'the law' (of felonies) you wouldn't have voted for the bulldozing law breaker.

But, when it comes to separating kids permanently for a misdemeanor, suddenly you're the dean of law school.

As for 'nefarious things', more American citizens do, per capita, 'nefarious things', than undocs, so your point is without merit.

But it doesn't say they should be turned loose without vetting.
No it isn't. The government is free to deal with Asylum seekers as it sees fit.
. Biden's border bill would have done anything other than continue the human flood cross the border and being turned loose on the population. Dumping them on buses and planes and foist them off on the citizens of various cities ad states is madness.

That's a vacuous claim. Care to back it up?
The Senate sent two border bills, which Biden would have signed, to the house over the course of Biden's term, and the speaker didn't allow either of them to the floor, for debate.

You guys don't have a leg to stand on on the border issue.

It DOES in many cases!

In any case, detaining them for whatever time does NOT solve the immigration issue. In fact, it makes it worse!
Try again. Read the first two sentences that you quoted. It applies to THE WHOLE post.
In your Post #121 you wrote, VERBATIM: "The right is willing to risk losing our democracy so long as foreigners who don't look like their "arian ideal" suffer." You didn't say the "MAGA" is willing (blah, blah, blah) -- no -- you wrote "The right... If you wanted to direct that part of your vitriol in that post to "MAGA", then write "MAGA". By blaming all those of "the right" you painted with an overly-broad brush, just as I said....

Why should I have to parse through your posts looking for your 'intentions' and 'marble-caked' references anyway? You freely ignore entire tracts of other people's posts and just bulldoze right into whatever your interpretations are -- so get used to it if others extend the same 'courtesy' to you, too! In this case though (as before), I quoted you VERBATIM, and it's obvious that you don't like it when other people return the favor! ;-)

OH? Where specifically?
But it would help enormously the crime issue as well as the cost issues for the various cities where they've congregated. And saved several rape, homicide and other violent crime victims.

Children, for example!

In any case, my point is made: you have NO proposals to solve the problem. Only the fake talking points that the MAGA media feeds you. And they all boil down to finding ways to TORTURE people (like falsely accusing them of crimes) who don't look or talk "aryan" enough for a MAGAs "taste"

Any your only proposal does more damage that productive progress.
Total bullshit. A mindless recitation of idiotic garbage. Accusations of racism and idiotic cling to "MAGA" nonsense. Your posts are going down hill.

So- if someone accused you of being a rapist, you would have no problem with an entire political block of society piling on you and telling all the world that you were a rapist.
The claim is parroted by the media who feeds on allegations of immorality. Likewise, the people who see opportunity, publicity and profit in making such claims come out of the woodwork....
and in order to harvest the votes of weak-minded people who enjoy hating, the government decides that throwing you under the bus is good for them. That is the kind of justice system you defend.

You use information that feeds your obsession, and deny information that says you are wrong. This has been true as long as have read your posts, so no surprise.

Have you decided if Daniel Penny is a murderer who was wrongly freed, or Derek Chauvin was an innocent wrongly convicted?

The incidents are very parallel, yet the courts see them in opposite terms. Of course, with Chauvin, failing to throw him under the bus would have produced riots far greater than were already happening, where convicting Penny would have created a high level of protest. It was politically expedient, even necessary to convict Chauvin and release Penny. "Justice", even in courts- is influenced by the winds of public opinion, and the potential repercussions. Net gain or loss in public perceptions and manipulability have become more important than justice. The people's perception bends reality in today's world, at least for the weak people, whose personal standards are much like rubber bands. They like "justice" that feeds their emotional immaturities.

Like the black community that wanted to see Chauvin drawn and quartered, some find cause for emotion. This is not emotion for cause, it is embracing an emotion and finding cause to justify it.

When I wonder how a person doing that can live with themselves, I think about the capacity of people like those in Minnesota to quickly turn into a lynch mob in total disregard of true justice. They actually believed that was righteous, perhaps the ultimate rejection of personal and moral responsibility.

The times when people can have confidence in leadership, in the media, in law enforcement and the justice systems have been left behind, replaced by the people who think that if they don't like someone or their philosophies, there are no moral limits- it is fair to do anything you can to harm those whose existence offends you. This weakness has spread like an epidemic among the liberals and lefties, and they embraced like it was a gift instead of a curse. Banana Republic mentality.

Morally- such people's stature is virtually microscopic; like they were six inches tall. The sad part is that it is their choice, within their power to be a greater or less human being- and they choose less.
They contribute nothing.

In the case of Donald Trump- the left got so carried away with the hate, so exceeded the moral standards of society- that the public recognized the farce for what it was, and gave Trump a far stronger mandate than the one from 2016. A mandate- to clean house and restore some honor and order to our government. Trump, unlike anyone on the left- actually has solutions and will try. If some fail, he will revise and try again.

As a person who obviously has no solutions for anything, it would seem you don't have a basis of legitimate complaint- only that you aren't happy and the world should fix that for you...
and of course, you have to focus the blame somewhere. Trump is not the culprit; that person causing it is real close to you. Real close.

The people want the nation to return to sanity, to responsibility, and to be free of the waste, lunacy and incompetence that the left has made it's mantra.

I think Golem's "broad-brush" problem is an outgrowth of the liberal-Left's sputtering attempt to leverage a meme like their pejorative interpretation of "MAGA" in order to counter the far more damning meme of "woke" and its "wokester" cadres. Both of these are, in theory, very good ideas... but, the way they're used are NOT!

"MAGA" in and of itself simply means, "Make America Great Again" -- which, in theory, is no bad thing. And "woke" (we are told by its proponents) is merely intended to mean that all of us should "awaken" to be more committed to a new reality in which all people are treated with care, dignity, and respect... again -- this is no bad thing!

But when the liberal-Left descends into the dangerously unbalanced level of falsely accusing the "MAGA people" (and all those on the Right, including those who are not Trump 'fanboys' at all) -- then they cross a line into the same kind of insane 'Fantasyland' that Nazis waltzed into with their lies and criminal distortions about Jews and others they were growing to hate during the 1930's!

Now, in 'plain Texas talk', accusing those of us who support our immigration laws and national sovereignty as being rabidly opposed to migrants because they don't fit some mythical "Aryan ideal" is completely fabricated, malicious BULLSHIT! And it sets a new precedent for reckless slander in recent American political debate and discussion... one which only highlights and underscores another meme -- "TDS" (Trump Derangement Syndrome)....

It's hard to understand why anyone would not want their nation to be a great place to live.
Hard to understand why many don't realize that you can't build something good with trash, and that we need quality people- people who value the promise that is America, that want to improve it.
While basically we try to see all people as equal, that's misleading. What people can be and what they choose to be are different, and a fair number of us don't contribute anything of value- but such people invariably criticize and trash the people that do. This is like saying that if everybody becomes a loser like me- then we are equal.

I listened to the inaugural address of John F Kennedy, where he said- "Ask not what your country can do for you- Ask what you can do for your country". That didn't make much sense to me then, but over the years I came to understand that when we work together to build a better country- everybody benefits. We may succeed at different levels, but we all have a good field to play on and try- not a rigged game.

Today, the top 25% of our population is paying 89% of the income tax bill. The bottom 50% is typically paying 3%, some years a little more or less. But all of have a chance to succeed. Not guaranteed, but we have that opportunity, and no nation that does not preserve it's freedom and keep a lid on it's government can provide that. Ours has been moving in that direction for some time now- and hopefully, the trend has finally awakened enough people that we can restore the greatness, restore the opportunity for all to have a shot at being the best they can be.

The American people- the Citizens of this nation- are paying the bills for our government's addictions to spending and power- but we have not been getting our money's worth for a long time.
When government returns to honoring the Constitution, serving the best interests of the people and restoring the public trust, the American dream will again be available to all.

I'm not talking about "accusing". I'm talking about a jury unanimously finding that he DID!

Do you suppose that if we take a republican judge in a republican community with republican values and try you for that you would be convicted out of the publicity and persecution generated for that purpose?

NO, you would not, because the conservative people in America don't believe in "Lawfare" no matter how much they might dislike the person. On the other hand if we invert the tables and make it democrats with the power- you're toast, because they revel in such things. Nobody's perfect. But some try, and others have no intention of doing the right thing when treachery is the only thing they are good at.

I wonder why you can't figure some of this out. Cabinet nominees up for confirmation, for example. What do the democrats do? They don't know how to get by with rejecting qualified people, but they find alternative ways to ensure they don't get in ....

One of the reasons that Trump has been treated as he has is that the dems have feared him for a decade, and been throwing trash at him everyday, all that time. Some of that of course sticks with the more vindictive small thinkers. Kind of like the people who promote lynch mentality, if you bad mouth somebody long enough a lot of people will begin to belive it.

Now- The people willing to use that as their primary weapon (Who usually have little else) are damn sure going to insist it's not Bull Excrement. Which of course, it almost always is.

And we can see how you do your research- searching everything, overlooking as needed, gathering what you want- Like collecting a bucket of bird droppings from the beach so it can be called a shitty place.
Certainly, a demanding task. It's justice in reverse. Pick a target contrive a case anyway you can. AKA malicious prosecution. Unless you are a liberal democrat, then it's "Justice".

I have no idea what you're trying to say (and I doubt you do either). Who gives a CRAP if the judge is Republican with Republican values? The person accused would be convicted by a jury IF they're proven GUILTY. That's how the legal system works.

Just like Trump was proven guilty!
