?

Does President Donald J. Trump have a rather brilliant "Checkmate Plan" for every gambit he makes?

I believe that Trump is a Democrat at heart but he noticed how the Democratic Party treated Ms. Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and even Bernie for that matter.......

Trump is too smart to bother wasting time and money in attempting to lead the Dems so.........
    the choice was obvious......
    ....

    ...
    ...

I disagree... No authoritarian would HIRE UP as Trump has done with Ms. Tulsi Gabbard... Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Ms. Pam Bondi, , Kash Patel, Marco Rubio, J. D. Vance, and his entire team.

These people would be unlikely to risk their lives to assist Trump against the Epstein Island list people if they did not think that Trump had the political courage and will to finish what he began in his first four years as POTUS.

The tariffs make no sense, and his protectionist policies have always been my biggest policy gripe with him. Legally, Congress is in charge of tariffs. Not the president. Our founders never intended for one person to have this kind of power to unilaterally issue taxes. And, on top of that, Trump doesn't even know what tariffs actually are or who pays them.

I believe that tariffs are an absolutely terrible idea for the long term but......
    ....
if you want to do something like a Regime Change in Canada and flip both Canada's Conservative Party as well as the Liberal Party away from certain types of behaviour.......

then the threat of tariffs are certainly a good way to force Canada's Liberal Party to rapidly RETIRE P. M. Justin Trudeau and......
    ... dump the Carbon TAx........

and just watch what they dump next!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although I would vastly prefer Pierre Poilievre to be elected as P. M. in our next election I betcha that P. M. Carney will be almost NOTHING LIKE TRUDEAU WAS!!!!!!!!!!!

~ Too soon to tell if the " Terrific Trump Tariff Technique " will be successful. So far it appears to have the desired effect — especially on China.
I believe that Trump mostly flys by the seat of his pants and makes last moment decisions. That's his style. Sometimes it is advantageous — other times it seems foolish. All in all it is no better or worse than previous presidents .

:banana:If all else fails the Democrats are waiting in the wings with Mr. & Mrs. U.S. President :

It's been more than 100 days, and the result has been nothing short of a total disaster. No president before him has done so much damage so fast, and this is only the beginning.

I do believe that all of this goes far deeper than President Trump or any of his advisors or any of us would tend to imagine.

I do admit that the Trump Tariffs will tend to increase prices.

The latest narrative seems to be that countries wouldn't negotiate or negotiate in good faith so this is all about forcing them to do both. We will see. I have my doubts.

    YES.....
I believe that the Trump Tariffs could lead to a loan of THIRTY FOUR TRILLION DOLLARS THROUGH THE BANK OF CANADA THAT WE PRETTY MUCH
    STOPPED USING BACK IN 1974.........
for profoundly stupid and probably unethical reasons.........

such as a response to possible "blackmail????"

The only way to stay on par is to directly peg currencies in the way the Belize's currency is pegged to the US dollar at 1 us dollar always equals two of theirs no matter what.

    An excellent answer.....
and the tiny nation of Bermuda has pegged their Bermuda Dollar to the USA Dollar partly due to how massive their INSURANCE industry is.
