Now this is a serious question..irrelevant yes..but none the less serious, because I would really like to know. Why do so many new products from toothpaste to trucks insist on having an (i) in front of their brand name?
Because it makes them sound more expensive? Apple never really marketed any products that featured genuine technological breakthroughs. They simply managed to present an image of "coolness". I wonder if their cachet will continue now that Steve Jobs is no longer around? Their next big product release is supposed to be the iWatch. Does anyone really want to watch a movie streamed on a wristwatch?
Go to a Starbucks sometime...all those MacPro folks 'turned on, tuned in" There's where you'll be finding the iWatch crew. All sitting about, wired on espresso and squinting at their wrists. They'll be the 1st in line when iPaper comes out (or maybe it'll be iToilet). All that espresso ya know.
