We have a population of 4 million, which is higher than 22 other states. New York has a population 5 times that of Oklahoma, but they've had almost 10 times the number of COVID deaths. Guess all those lockdowns really didn't work after all, did they?

Take the deaths from NYC (high population density) from the state and New York state is much better than Oklahoma.

Not even close. New York has a population of 20 million. So, if they only had 1000 deaths per 1 million people, that would only be 20,000 COVID deaths. New York has had 50,000 COVID deaths.....

 

That's the point. 32000 of those deaths were in the city of New York. Nine million people packed in.

 

I only wear masks at places which require them. 99% of the time I am maskless. When there is a contagious pandemic I stay away from crowds. I choose to wear a mask for my own protection. You can bet I would never think of attending a non essential political rally like the morons who attended the multiple Trump rally super spreader events over the past year.

Sh*t happens and intelligent people just deal with it instead of crying about it. Since many grocery stores, department stores and other private businesses have posted signs requiring masks and social distancing I have respected their guidelines. However, I have seen and heard several imbeciles who insist on disregarding these simple guidelines and making a big stink and getting their asses tossed out of stores whining about these guidelines. All of them were wearing Trump shirts and MAGA hats. What’s up with that?

I always have one or two with me whenever I leave the house in case I need or want to go into a place of business which requires them or into an airport or public place. 99% of the time I do not wear them. Hopefully all this crap will be over in a while, but it really has not changed my life at all.

 

It was a bit half hearted because once you were seated with a drink you could take the darn thing off. But then it was only a handful of cases and they traced it pretty quickly

You will wear a mask until the day you die, you will require boosters semiannually, if not quarterly, Covid and the hysteria is here to stay, like it's little cousin influenza...and by the way, have the flu vaccines stopped IT from continually mutating? I particularly love seeing the same people who not so long ago pooh-poohed "herd immunity" now embrace it like the Gospel of St. Mark. As for the infallible CDC's and Lord Fauci's "recommendations"....which damn day of the week are we discussing?

 

In the area where I live, discarded masks have become the new litter. Along the streets and sidewalk they litter. Some consider them to be biohazard waste. They might be right.

Where I will stop to pick up an empty beer bottle or drink container and put it in the trash receptacle, I won't touch one of those things.

 

I think a more mature, reasoned approach would be of great benefit to you and yours.
