This is BS, "Identify as"? WTF? When did this BS begin?

The irony is that we claim to want everybody to just "be themselves", then we give applause for jerkofffs like Bruce Jenner and Rachel Dolezel who apparanetly don't like themselves?

This is what I say, ONLY IN AMERICA! In most countries they'll do what's right, slap the shyt out of you or at least tell you to wake up and laugh AT you (not with you) while they do it!

I'm starting to think that permissive USA has gone too far! At some point you have to draw a line. Like you have to ACCEPT WHO AND WHAT YOU ARE! Like Gender and Race are not things you can "choose" and still call yourself sane!

Sorry, that's just how it is if you're a person who believes in SCIENCE, because you aren't what you WANT to IDENTIFY AS, you are what your biology say's you are.

If you are going to identify yourself with something that matters, you should for all practical purposes be a rich, heterosexual, christian, white, male, country club dweller, with a lucrative trust fund.

I don't think anybody is saying that actual gender is a personal choice. As a liberal, I believe that people should be treated equally under the law, and there are far too many laws that discriminate against people due to race, gender or sexual preferences. By allowing people to say "I am woman - hear me roar" and recognizing that transformation in a court of law helps to achieve equality, despite the many discriminatory laws.

Now you can apply for affirmative action benefits simply by checking "other" when it asks you to select which race you are. Don't want to get raped in divorce court? Become a woman for your day in court. Hell, would you rather get locked up in a men's prison or a women's prison? All you gotta do is just check the "female" gender assignment category box and they ship you off to a woman's prison. That way your cellmate is named Bubbles instead of Bubba. Getting groped at a TSA security checkpoint? Now you can request the gender of your groper.

    I'm feeling quite liberated!

I think every high school student should identify as black so they to can get into college with lower SAT scores

and colleges with a student body as white as a bowl of rice can make the claim that they are diverse because 20% of the whites claim they are black

I get the impression that at first you won't like the answer that I gave in this discussion…… but at least it might give you something to ponder today?!

But…… if you went to a qualified and talented hypnotherapist there is somewhere around a ninety percent chance that you could be hypnotized….. and regressed in time centuries and even thousands of years…….. and you would probably see yourself as having reincarnated all over the racial/ ethnic and religious spectrum.

I take it as something of a compliment that although 256 people viewed this topic….. only one poster had the intellectual courage and confidence to reply!

What is that white guy doin in my head? (Past life regression under hypnosis).

I read both of Helen Wambach Ph. D.'s books back in the '90's and I am convinced that they have the potential to transform race relations.

Well over sixty percent of Dr. Wambach's volunteers were women.... but almost exactly fifty percent of past lives viewed/ perceived.....were of men!

White people see themselves as Black and Japanese and Chinese and Aboriginal in past lives. Roughly ninety percent of past lives viewed would be described as "poor" which is almost certainly not what would happen if people were simply remembering scenes from movies that they viewed as a child or teenager.

True….. we caucasian Christian men do have a lot of influence over world events and trends.

On the other hand……… those 56,446 business owners, (who were largely white and Christian), who went bankrupt from 1865 to 1875 did not have the political clout to prevent a policy from being put in place that made it nearly impossible for them to stay in the black?!

Reconstruction did a lot of things, and it has never been completely corrected. It wasn't about slaves, it was about financial domination and the enrichment of northern interlopers.

I agree! And it is also obvious that it was a tiny segment of the population who began that policy.

Those 56,446 business owners were the one percenters of that time period…. but…… they could not prevent that policy from being put in place.

The President Lincoln Greenback monetary policy experiment…… did cause inflation……. .but that is inevitable if you take thousands of your most productive most well trained workers out of producing food, houses, necessities and services…… and pay them to shoot cannons and muskets at each other!

A Civil War….. alters the economy by lowering the supply of products and services…… at the same time that you increase the supply of money….. so of course with more money chasing less products you have inflation………… but that does not excuse the behaviour of the bankers who so radically restricted the money supply at that time.

President Lincolns advisor who counselled him to initiate the original policy was well aware of American history as of 1750.

Is it historically accurate that monetary policy was central to American Revolution?

The Lincoln experiment was calculated to have saved American taxpayers FOUR BILLION dollars in interest payments!

The cost of war is always high, and selective about who gets the profits of any war. That's why the rich enticed the government to go after the poor farmers in the whiskey rebellions so all the money they made wouldn't be taken back to pay the bills that were accumulated. Somebody always pays, but it usually isn't the ones who profit.
