My wife and I went shopping for me primarily for cowboy boots. My old pair were getting a bit thin on the sole. Anyway I found a nice pair of ropers that I liked, not too fancy and meant for when we go out dancing. The pair were a little over $200.

I found my wife in the kids section, I asked her who she was buying for, and she said herself. I didn't know that the kids sizes could fit women. She's a size 6.5 in women's...anyway she ended up buying 3 pair of boots for less than I paid for the one pair.

So lesson, there is a reason women have more shoes than guys. So the question is, why are kids boots so much cheaper than adults when an adult can wear a kids size? I looked and they were quality boots, used the same amount of leather, and quite frankly were a lot more fancy than mine.

Are you a cowboy then? I thought 'cowboys' went out with Roy Rogers and Trigger! But it reminds me of something I heard about cowboy hats; some American was being asked about his opinion on them and he came back with 'Only two types of person wears a stetson - cowboys and a***holes.'

Small women can fit into girls' clothes and shoes but their design is immature compared to the adult-sized version. I bought heart sunglasses for kids, which are only half expensive as adult sunglasses, and it's a good way to save money.

    A size 6.5 isn't a kid's size though. A size 5 or 5-1/2 might be but definitely not 6-1/2.

All I know is she bought three pair of childrens boots for less than I paid for my one pair, I may have the size wrong, I pay attention but shoes are not my forte.

Probably because the boots you bought were made for actual roping and various rodeo events. The boots your wife bought were made to "look" like dads.

I usually wear a size 6 (sometimes a 5-1/2 if they run big, not all shoes are the exact size and some have pointed toes or what not, so the fit is not always the same), and I don't think I could fit into kids sizes. Kids sizes go up to size 4 I think.

Perhaps a new family arrival? Triplets, even? Toddlers toddle better in a good sturdy pair of boots.

She must have some really tiny feet. Did you know that in China, the women used to bind their feet to make them small?

Noooo!!! That's not gonna happen. We have 5 kids already and were both fixed

She's 5'2" about 105 lbs. after 5 kids, so yes she's tiny...She weighed 93 llbs. when I first met her. The only thing she has really gained is breast size after 5 kids. And I will never complain about that.

Our kids range from 15 to 28 so not at the same time, we also have 3 grandchildren.

Oh, I thought they were all still young kids or something. Someone else once told me that it is actually easier with more kids because they don't require as much individual attention when they have a lot of siblings. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing, I don't know, speaking as an only child myself.

I knew a girl who always bought her clothes at the girls' section and bragged about it. :p

It definitely has its moments raising a large family. There are always fights, but then there are those times that surprise you, my oldest daughter takes after my side of the family, the second oldest is more like my wifes side of the family. Erica (oldest) got her drivers license and took it upon herself to take her tomboy sister bra shopping.
