Here is a great picture from the newly launched CO2 satellite called OCO-2. Global atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations from Oct. 1 through Nov. 11, as recorded by NASA's Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2. Brighter colors show high CO2 concentrations.

So the question is, are co2 levels leading the climate change, or is climate change leading the co2 levels? For we know that if the sun warms up the earth, co2 levels will rise, from the increase in temps. You know, like a hot bottle of coca cola will release more co2 when warm, than if you keep it chilled. So, when the sun warms up the earth from its natural cycles. the seas release co2 more than when the earth is cooling. So what came first here, the chicken or the egg?

Perhaps we need to sink a few billion a year in grants so other scientists can research this. My money says, that if we waggle those billions out there, we will get favorable results that support that other factors are causing climate change, and those other factors are warming the earth up a bit, to cause a rise in co2 levels. I think it is probably a sure bet.

Then we can gather the scientists together who have been sucking at the gov't grant teat, who blame it on man, and then that group that would blame it on the sun, and sell tickets to an MMA bout, and which team wins, we go with that conclusion.... I think this would be as viable as the current paradigm. lol

We also know that historically, when the earth has warmed, humanity has been healthier, had more food, and flourished. So warming has always been really good to humanity. Now one cannot say this about any cycles of cooling. We get sick, plagues are common, and we starve to death, reducing population.

So when the next ice age comes, and it will come, if we are still here, will we be as we are now, hysterical, and try to affect that cooling, by burning all of the fossil fuels we can find?

The AGW people are dimwits, IMO. Hysterical dimwits. For they are fearing what has always been very beneficial to humanity. Sure, if the sea levels rise, before they fall again with the next ice age, we will have to move inland. What is the big deal? That would be an economic boom to all nations who are modern. So global warming is a win win here. Why the hysterics? Well, obviously the hysterical are dimwits, village idiots. For they choose to ignore what warming has historically provided for humanity. Are they crazy nuts, or what? LOL People with just too much time on their hands? Worry warts? Obviiously they are all of these things, and we have always had these sorts of humans on the planet.

    Wow...

    Look at the Asian anomaly...

Since the oceans are gaining CO2, not releasing it, I think it's safe to say they're not responsible for the extra 15 gigatons of CO2 added to the atmosphere each year. You know what could account for it? The 30 gigatons emitted by humans.

Yes because burning 83 million barrels of oil PER DAY does nothing bad to the atmosphere

So, when oceans are cold, they take in co2. When they warm up, the let it off. Which is what I said.

Cant have it both ways, right? LOL

You should look up Henry's Law of partial pressures. A warming ocean will only release CO2 if the partial pressure of CO2 in the atmosphere is less, which it is not. With oceans currently absorbing 30% of human emissions, that should be obvious.

What the paper says is there is "clear evidence of a close coupling between variations in Antarctic temperature and the atmospheric concentration of CO2 during the glacial/interglacial cycles." Since humans were not adding 30 gigatons of CO2 to the air during the last deglaciation, 19,000 to 11,000 yr before present, I don't see how it disproves AGW.

What does convection have to do with CO2 seen by satellites?

    Explain please.

Convection means that the CO2 over Asia may have come from elsewhere

    LOL....

You'll grasp at any straw. Won't you?

Ever think that maybe it has something to do with all the coal plants they operate?

Are those steps the number of times the climate record has been corrected?
