We had another thread with many false claims, so this thread is especially important as it clears up the many misconceptions and outright deflections from this horrid truth. When you write MSM I guess you mean American media? Why would they be running stories about this? More interesting is the reason for RT running all these anti-Israel stories. I wonder what that is about? And I wonder what your motive is for posting it?
The motive is the same as those who sent the child to get shot; to make Israel look bad. She went there to die. She ignored requests to stop and warning shots were fired before shooting her in the legs. She was following in her aunts footsteps. Her aunt was killed in a stabbing attack. No reasonable person would believe that a child came up with the story of wanting to see where her aunt died. What kind of parents would send their little girl to an area known for people getting killed while carrying out attacks. that would be like sending your kid with a toy gun to a liquor store that has been robbed several times. Very sad.

Watching the video RT posted on their site, I understood why MSM wouldn't touch it. First the RT reporter claims that the girl didn't understand when the soldiers ordered her to stop because they spoke Hebrew. Then she said (the RT reporter claimed she said, we can't hear the girl properly) that one of the soldiers told the others "this one is a terrorist" and ordered them to open fire. Which begs the question: does the girl understand Hebrew, or doesn't she? When is she (or the RT reporter who does the voice over) lying? The Times of Israel holds the answer. The soldiers have been told not to shoot the girl. In a video of the incident posted by Ramallah News the words Dont shoot, no one shoot her (in Hebrew) can be clearly heard, right at the beginning. To make a short story shorter, RT is lying.
You weren't there. A girl with a bag refusing to stop is a very realistic threat in that area. They took every reasonable effort to spare her. If anything, this story only shows the restraint the Israeli soldiers used. Sending a child to sacrifice her life for the purpose of gaining sympathy is pure evil and fits the definition of a psychopath. How can anyone defend those that would send their own child to sacrifice herself for the purpose of negative media coverage against Israel? Very sad.

Good catch, her father said they shot her 5 times and just once would have been enough, shooting anything 5 times with a 5.56 mm caliber makes a mess out of everything let alone a 13 y old child, the video shows warning shots and one shot toward her legs and she drops.
But your headline and you link say 5 times, the girl says she approched to talk to the soldiers - they asked her her aunt name - then shot her and as she was down they shot her 4 more times, yet she is smiling in bed - IN HER HOUSE MIND YOU - with two medium bandages on her legs.
Thousands of ppl go in and out that gate every day but they shot a 13 y old for no reason as by fluk she stood in a place she was not supposed to be, saying she was shot 5 times but we see only one shot and we dont see marks of the other 4 bullets that were supposed to pierce her as she was lying on the road. do you have some theory that can explain it ?
She approached a checkpoint carrying a bag. She refused to stop. She and her family were aware of the danger of her actions from personal family experience. She grew up in the same family that sent one of their women to stab Israelis and was killed in the process. She was sent from a group that is known for caring more about making Israel look bad than caring for their own children. This was likely a strategic move to soften Israeli defenses so that they will hesitate when they send a little girl with real explosives.

Strange, the OP states the girl was shot at a border crossing between Israel (a recognized UN member who is legally occupying land in the midst of a Palestinian declared war) and Palestine.
