So up until this point, I felt as if Obama had been playing to lose lately. The things he has been doing didn't make any sense. But now that the lid on Benghazi is finally getting blown off, it all makes sense.

Specifically, Obama spiking the football over his "8 million" Obamacare signups. We know that a website signup is not an enrolled person. So he was only going to look like a liar again when the number of processed payment plans was finally revealed. Why would Obama be setting himself up for failure like this? It didn't make any sense at the time.

But now it makes sense. Consider this: Obama knew ahead of time that he would lose the fight to keep those emails redacted. In knowing this, he decided that he needed to do something, anything, to raise his stature before the un-redacted emails were released. Even if that something would come back to bite him months later. And doing a fake victory walk over the 8 million signups number is that thing. Months from now it will become clear that he was spinning that figure beyond all decency, but it was a calculated risk because he wanted to look good right before the Benghazi emails were fully released. That's my theory.
