One part of the conflict was what justification would be valid for an ethical Rabbinical Jewish husband to divorce his wife?????

If I remember correctly... John the Baptist and Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus were closer to the line of thought of Shammai when it came to divorce....

and the Scribes and the Pharisees were terrified of the implications of NOT being free to divorce their wives for virtually any reason that they felt
was valid......

Some good stuff -- boot her out for burning breakfast a funny one .. but seldom are things so simple in reality .. as in .. it was not the norm in Jewish Society at the time to just boot your wife out for no reason.

OK- "Adultery" in the OT - did not mean a man could not step out on his wife ..or wives .. and all the patriarchs had concubines. This rule only applied to the woman in the partnership who was not allowed to sleep around. The wives and daughters were more a form of property such that sleeping with another man's property is akin to theft. .. and we have various monetary penalties for various sex crimes .. based on the value of the property involved in said crime.

So .. if you slept with a virgin daughter .. against her will .. you have now committed a property crime .. the consequences of which are to 1) pay the bride price .. 2) marry the girl . make this girl one of your wives .. and what this means .. is that you are obligated to take care of this woman .. to provide for her basic needs .. for the rest of her life .. and you may never divorce yourself from this obligation

So .. when Jesus says .. you must not put her away .. he is saying you must not divorce from your obligation to take care of this woman. Hearken back to my previous post ... the "What part of --- "This sums up the law and the prophets" --- was not made perfectly clear by our lord and savior .. .. or something to that effect .. Have you not heard .. of the Golden Rule ? .. and its importance to the Holy Order of Zedek .. Which the Hillel or the other may or may not have had anything to do .. . but applies in this passage .. 1) being from the same sermon .. and 2) being the point of the whole sermon .. a sermon in which the Topic .. is how to get through the pearly gates ..

The big splash of the Sermon on the Mount is that the Will of the Father is to do the Golden Rule .. and to use the Golden tool .. and to not be a Fool.. and as promised .. we had other 'Gods whispering the same thing .. into the ear of the Babylonian King Hamurrabi .. dictated by Lord Marduk if not mistaken .. Buddha spoke this rule .. as did Confucius. .. and when push comes to shove .. even Muhamad. "there is no compulsion in Islam" .. something like that ..

and last but not least -- The God Supreme of the OT vs the OT God who's name was Jealous.

A great sin has been committed against the one God . .. a few people in one of the Israelite cities have been worshiping other Gods - and the one God is Jealous and so orders the death of every living soul in the entire town .. Women, Children, babies , fetuses .. collective punishment ..

the other God .. God Supreme .. says the child not to be killed for the sins of the Father .. each person according to his own sin. .. A Golden Rule and Rule of Law Principle in action... one person not to be punished for the actions of another .. If you don't others punishing you for the sins of another .. don't yourself punish someone for the sin of someone else.. Do unto others .. both positive and negative aspects.

Now .. how does this relate to Zedek ? and this great and wonderful grand priesthood ? Zedek is Justice and Righteousness .. doing what is just and right.. avoiding what is injust .. and not right .. this is our Patron God .. this is Jesus .. The prince of Peace .. Jerusalem being the city of Peace .. The Logos -- the true word of God.. enabled by the Holy Spirit .. his sole mission to tell you the will of the Father.. which is to do what is just and right ..

Now I left the NET translation as is .. but "Most High God" .. is not the proper translation . The word in this passage is EL Oliun = God Supreme .. which yes is kind of like God most high ... but God most high is a different epithet EL Elyon .. and so regardless of how we translate .. these can not be translated the same .. EL Elyon .. "God most High" .. is not EL Oliun "God Most High" and in interlinear translation that I posted previously they translate EL Oliun God Supreme.

but never mind the name nit picking .. the point of this passage at this point .. is note how they bring out bread and wine .. in celebration of the Most High.. in leu of a sacrifice to the most high .. Right !! could just be me but thought it was an interesting choice for a celebration ritual.

Jerusalem was one of a number of Holy Cities in Abraham's time .. Babylon was another.. .. one time.. when Assyria captured Babylon they sacked the city - raised it to the ground .. this was looked upon as a very bad thing . and bad things ended up happening to the Assyrian King ..

How is it that that the God that introduced himself to Abraham .. the God he recognized as Enlil from Babylon .. Chief God of the Sumerian Pantheon .. something one is taught in elementary school in Ur .. where Abe Grew up .. his father an Idol Maker so I guess Abe would have been taught at home as well.. and of course at church and everyone went to church in those days - made his way over from Babylonia to Canaan .. and set up a priesthood in Jerusalem .. a Canaanite City .. and thus a God that the Canaanites worshiped .. and in fact the Canaanite High God .. that is worshiped by the Priests of the Order of Zedek.. obviously . as being head of the Divine council .. the twin Gods Righteousness and Justice sit at the right hand of the Father .. Right? ..
Is that not what the good book says ? Does Jesus not sit at the right hand of God the Father .. as Judge - Jury - and executioner ? ... the symbol of Justice and Righteousness .. twin aeons .. emanating forth from the Godhead ...

There is a fascinating detail in this near death experience how even in The Pit of Hell if you will say the name of Jesus the demons there cannot grab hold of you and devour you like they obviously wanted to do. This is after the twenty three minute mark in this video. Former Atheist Howard Storm noticed similar things in the parts of the afterlife that he viewed.

 

Why would Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus volunteer to go to the lowest level of hell....
during His three days of being in the heart of the earth.....
if He had not had a plan to rescue, restore and resurrect those who had fallen into the

I do feel that I have learned things from studying near death experience accounts that I believe could inspire full fledged Theistic Satanists to

decide to turn toward their Creator..... Who also created former Covering Cherub Helel who I have renamed "Stanley Milgram Lucifer Satan" in order to get across an important concept........

If you see the FACE of The Father you cannot come back into your body?

Why would this be the case?

I have a theory on this....
that could easily be incorrect but......

I do believe that many of you can benefit from at least considering this possibility.

Moses was told that he could not see the Face of YHWH and live.... and near death experiencer Kevin Zadai Th. D. was actually shielded by Messiah Yeshua - Jesus from seeing the Face of the Father and was told that he would not have been able to come back into this world after his near death experience if he had seen the Father's Face.

My theory is that YHWH or G-d the Father....

is composed of Energy from Quantum Vacuum or something like it and.......

has no exact and precise form and thus...... the level of EMPATHY FOR YOU.... that our Creator has is so off the scale that.... if you see the Face of the Father..... you will see that He looks shockingly like you....... [or perhaps even like your identical but significantly darker twin]........ while He is looking at you and you are looking at Him.

If you do this......
you have to remain in heaven.... you cannot continue to work with and teach humans..... because you meeting your Creator and Him very possibly looking like your identical twin...... would really mess you up as a teacher of spirituality.

So... my idea is that just as computer programs can interpose two faces on top of each other..... I suspect that the Heavenly Father would look largely like Jesus... but amazingly like YOU... if you saw the Face of the Father..... this is partly because the Father knows that you are about to be stopped right there from going back into four dimensional space - time... this earth realm.... and The Father has an emotional attachment to the moment of your death from this world.

Most ... actually nearly all dads..... want to have a good connection with their children and grandchildren..... Dr. Gary Smalley in his book "For Better or for Best" stated that... the easiest way for dads and grandfathers to connect with their children and grandchildren..... The second near death experience of former Atheist and Orthodox Jewish Rabbi Alon Anava has a visionary experience that could fit with

former Covering Cherub Helel actually repenting.... and beginning to ally with YHWH against Idolatry???????


Rabbi Alon Anava stated that he wants this message sent out to all Noahides and to all Gentiles. I believe that this vision from his second near death experience will mean more to Latter day Saints than to members of just about any other Christian denomination that I can think of.

Who is the "him" mentioned in Isaiah 27 verse five... could it be Leviathan who is referred to in verse one????????

 

OK so you completely ignored the content of my post .. but wish to know about Isaiah 27 .. and the sea monster Leviathan .. wondering how this might be related to "that old serpent" called the Devil , and Satan .. in Revelations.

First thing to be said is that Gods of Revelations are going to be different than those of the OT ... in General. In this case there are some interesting things to say but first .. The NET version of Isaiah 27:5 does not have a Him. YHWH is coming to destroy all of Judah's enemies .. rescue Judah from them .. and in an allegorical way .. these enemies have been likened the Chaos Dragon .. called Leviathan here .

So YHWH is being given credit for defeating the primordial Goddess Tiamat .. basically this is the "Son of the High God" defeating the Primordial Serpent/Dragon of Chaos Motif .. and thus usurping the position of High God EL as Chief God over the earth. in the Babylonian tale it is Son of God Marduk who defeats the Chaos Dragon .. in the Moabite Tale it is Chemosh .. in the Edomite Tale it is Qos .. in the Israelite tale it is YHWH.

Do you understand Brother Dennis .. this is what is going on in the story from Joshua through Kings .. the 70 sons of EL are all battling each other for the title of Chief God on Earth. Each People has a Patron God / Son of God in the fight .. and YHWH loses some of these battles such as against God Chemosh of the Moabites .. BUT - YHWH eventually wins the war .. and this is the song that is being sung to the great God YHWH .. in the Temple of this Great God ~900 BC when Israel is at the height of its power. This is what Psalm 82 is all about .. When YHWH .. standing in the Assembly of the Gods .. the "Assembly of EL" .. where EL is the Chief God up in the heavens .. and the winner of the Battle of the Sons of God on Earth .. YHWH being a Son of EL .. will usurp the position of EL as Chief God on Earth .. while El is still Chief God in the heavens. Make sure to use the NET Bible.

2 He says, “How long will you make unjust legal decisions and show favoritism to the wicked? (Selah)

So in Verse 5 .. the Gods being referred to are the Sons of EL Sons of the Most High .. the one's YHWH has been battling against and has now defeated .. and while as per Deut 32:8 YHWH used to own only the nation of Israel .. YHWH is now in charge of all the nations of the Earth.

OK .. this is a hymn being sung glorifying God YHWH .. Do you understand ? .. that EL is the Most High God in this story .. and please click on the footnote for EL in the NET Bible which says

Now .. the Chaos Dragon in Isaiah is Tiamat .. YHWH substituting for Marduk .. surprised you yet to read this story .. Enuma Elish 101 .. interesting to note that YHWH is also depicted as a Dragon / fiery serpent in many a Biblical passage ..

This could be the same Serpent in the Garden of Eden but I rather think its Sophia .. Goddess of Wisdom .. Wise old Dragon forced down to earth as punishment for giving Wisdom to humans .. punished like prometheus. and surely the other God in the Garden is NOT YHWH .. no way.

Now Sataniel .. this is not the Advocate in Job I do not think .. a God with Great power .. one who becomes Chief God over the Earth .. one who tests Jesus .. at the behest of the Most High .. his Father .. Sataniel is the Tester of souls .. the Advocate .. never however operating outside the Will of the Father .. who is not YHWH.

Jesus refers to "The Father" of the Pharasees as The Devil .. Lord YHWH - Lord Jealous. .. Jesus has no covenant .. nor does he honor any covenant with this God. so "The Devil" and Satan .. are two completely different Gods .. both perhaps causing trouble for humans but .. these are different characteratures.

and I believe that there is a version of "The Spirit of Moshiach stored in Gan Eden" reserved for each and every one of us..........

I do believe that YHWh is going to defeat that evil creature between my own ears soon.........

I had always thought that the revelation of the Jewish and Messianic Jewish scriptures were progressive.........

which for example could mean that in the time of Moses and Joshua... and even in the time of King David.... all the way up until John the Baptist....... it was actually doing people a favour to kill the people in Canaan as opposed to leaving young women as survivors..... because even the men of Israel were not known for treating non-Israelite slave girls very well......
..... What Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus taught was a massive shift from the teaching of Moses... and even of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and the minor prophets... but at least the major and minor prophets gave Rabbi Yeshua - some really good paragraphs to quote to the Scribes and Pharisees.....

K - let us begin at the beginning - we now know what the Canaanites - Assyrians - Babylonians and Israelites believed .. we have their religious texts .. which go in to the creation stories in far more detail than Genesis ... ... the "like Us .. in Our Image" all explained. .. and if you know these religious beliefs .. you can understand what the stories in the Bible are about .. and know what the Israelites actually believed.

OK -- I just did abiogenesis in another thread -- some of the creationists having problems understanding I trust you will fair far better.

1) explain abiogenesis 2) explain the quantum connection 3) demonstrate the hand of God at work

1) Consider a Plasmid - (which I used in previous work - bioremediation) - a small packet of nucleic acids (the stuff of life we will call it) .. short chains of DNA in this case that are able to interact with a bacterial cell DNA .. giving the bacteria a new skill that it previously did not have. .. bacteria are so cool

Now nucleic acids are made of these amino acid blocks - A - C -G - T .. and you can arrange these blocks in what ever order you like into long chains .. using modern technology .. forming say a new virus .. which contains some 30,000 links .. a virus DNA much longer than Plasmid DNA.

Now .. we have not been able to produce DNA in the lab using primordial earth conditions .. that they have managed to achieve is the equivalent of proto RNA ..
.. how this happens is that nature produces ribonucleotides A - C - G and T .. these individual blocks then line up and link to each other to form chains on a charges surface such as clay "Mud" - .. primitive membranes than form over these molecules .. which limits the interaction with other molecules ...the membrane acts as a selective barrier allowing some molecules in and keeping some out .. and thus we have a primitive cell. Over time these nucleic acids become more complex .. these RNA chains get longer ========= / presumably at some point these RNA chains link up forming DNA -- this last step not yet achieved in the lab ... all the rest we have shown.

So the lab has produced self replicating molecules -- using primordial conditions . proto RNA- and so imagine nature producing a host of these building blocks .. "Ribonucleotides" .. which then hook up with each other creating longer chains .. the chains then link up .... becoming more and more complex .. and having the ability of self replication. That is primitive life.

Now -- 2) how this happens and the way in which this happens suggests that life is built into the machine ..Quantum mechanics also describe a ghost in the machine on the sub-atomic level - this tendency for order to arise out of the chaos .. moving against entropy .. the direction of which is from order to chaos .. and not the reverse.. these lego blocks that spring out of primordial conditions are designed to go against the wind - little molecular robot transformers.

2b) Spooky action at a distance - now -- these blocks go on to form the computer inside the human cell - directing all cell activities .. when you put a bunch of these cells together you get a blob of flesh named Dennis. a long long path of combinations .. resulting in matter and energy getting together in such a configuration that opens up its eyes and realizes "I AM that I AM" .. and that is all I really know for sure --- Row Row Row the boat -- >>>>

That moment - when the blob has the ability to capacitate the arrival of the Soul - the "I AM" - can not happen until the wiring of the brain is complete .. round 22 weeks .. and you can actually measure this moment on an EEG .. the brain lights up like an xmas tree .. the lights come on .. and someone is home.

Now .. once this blob obtains a soul .. it can do special things .. that it could not do before .. the matter and energy now knows it exists .... and this Soul ... can direct the blob of flesh .. make it do certain things .. through force of will -- a Thought - manifesting itself into physical reality --- spooky action at a distance..

How did your thought do that Brother Dennis ? .. or better question .. how did the matter and energy.. create this soul .. which could manifest into physical reality ? for example .. Wiggle your finger ? .. This is a "God Like" power.. the distinction is that a real God can take that power much further .. A thought that is able to make things happen outside its physical body... .. like willing the chair across the room to move .. as opposed to making pinky wiggle.

2c) matter + energy somehow managed to come together in a way that made the "I AM" a reality ... the one thing in the whole world .. and perhaps the only thing you know for sure. This means there was a finite probability for the matter and energy to manage this feat .. which means .. that given an infinite amount of time .. this feat will repeat .. an infinite number of times = your soul is infinite. Now -- look into an atom .. inside of which there is a nucleus .. consisting of protons and neutrons .. with these little electron things flying around .. but in predictable patterns .. now go inside the proton . inside of which you find more subatomic particles .. going smaller . and smaller into infinite number of worlds .. some more interesting than others .. .. then go the other direction .. out into infinity ..bigger and bigger bubbles .. inside of bigger bubbles.

3) The Hand of God --- is one that is able to manifest thought into physical reality - so ... welcome to the God club ... Now .. looking for some spooky action here .. a God that has the ability to manifest a thought into physical reality ... outside its physical body .. the ability to manipulate matter and energy through force of will outside one's body .. spooky action at a distance Zeus throwing lighting bolts down from the Sky -- but now imagine the "God is Everything" God .. and that everything in the universe .. can be manipulated through force of will ..like wiggling your finger .. because the Body of this God is Everything ..

The latter God turns out to be the God of Nothing but that is another story .. we keep finding these forces out there that we were previously unaware .. that most of the universe is this stuff "dark energy" .. dark because we have no clue what it is ..

That the universe constructs these little "I Ams" who through force of will can manipulate matter and energy internally .. then there are bigger structures .. matter and energy that are aware of existence and can manipulate matter and energy within itself .. then a bigger bubble .. and bigger and bigger ..an infinite number of Gods .. your abilities just a quark in some proton in some atom in some molecule inside some galaxy - universe .. which is just a proton in some atom and so on.

Wow....... you will consider this kind of a funny note.... but I basically never choose Netflix titles myself...........

My wife picks essentially every movie or series that we watch with very few exceptions.

 

It not for lack of spending dollars on cable .. which we would get rid of if not for the wife's father who lives with us and watches alot of TV .. which I don't even watch .. mostly youtube for me .. and we have prime and other movie streaming channel . .. but just never did netflix.
