While amnesty certainly could contribute to rising illegal immigration, it might also imply that things are getting even worse in Mexico as well.
When I read the topic on the thread list I bet myself $100 that some liberal would be dropping the race card before the first page was finished. Not even the "genetic" portion of Central and South Americans are native to the US region. Most arguments attempt to create the link by language, not genetics. There are very few tribes that still have territory on either side of the actual US/Mexico border, and they are granted the right to cross freely from one side to the other still.
