If New York reduced their cases by 95%

    NY had a peak of 9100 cases per day. If they reduce that by 95% to around 450 would you say that they've flatten the curve and would be save to open back up? If you don't think so how long do you want them to keep going for? If you think so then why can't the states that are already there at 450 open up?

    NY has ten world class hospitals within a short radius.

    Many rural areas don't have a good hospital within 100 miles.

    It's all about location, location, location.

    My big worry is that if we open up too soon, and have to shut down again, that we'll go from being being up to our necks in deep crap to breathing below the surface through a straw.
