This is one thing that I really don't get. Most hard-right conservatives are saying that Obamacare will bring up the cost of health insurance, cause employers to downgrade full-time employees to part-time, and will ultimately lead to the end of the world as we know it. But one thing that they're missing is that this will actually be a GOOD THING FOR THE REPUBLICANS. If Obamacare proves to be the disaster that they claim it is, the American people will vote for the Republican party and put them back in power. This will allow them to either change or abolish Obamacare. Instead of shutting down the government in an effort to block Obamacare, the most conservatives should be doing is WARNING the American people of what to expect.

Obviously, they are not confident it will be a failure despite the epic fear mongering campaign they've been waging.

WillardCare proved successful in Massachusetts before it went nationwide, its basis the conservative "individual mandate" espoused by Gingrich, heralded by the Heritage Foundation, enacted by the Governor the GOP chose as its Presidential nominee, and effusively praised by TP darling DeMint.

The last thing the pantywaists want is an actual demonstration to establish its success or failure. They will rave that the sky is falling, cherry pick anecdotes, misrepresent and distort with a vehemence that betrays their fear.

If the American public is given the chance to see it fully enacted, and it is as popular as is Massachusetts WillardCare, and is as embraced as Social Security and Medicare, those who wish to return to having the cost of care for 48 million of their countrymen on the taxpayer's tab, again have children denied coverage due to pre-existing conditions, and dependents up to age 26 suddenly dumped from family plans will be apoplectic. Yet another triumph of a government of, by, and for the people living up to that mission.

How many of the TP mewlers regard the $250 billion annual taxpayer subsidy that sustains their employer-administered group insurance as their "entitlement"? How many are calling for its elimination?

Why are they so frantic to prevent the ACA being put to the test? If they actually believe their dismal auguries, do they desperately wish to save the President and Democrats a monumental political defeat and the embarrassment of repeal with enormous public support?

"Courage of convictions," is the phrase that comes to mind, of course.

Running away in a frenzy from the actual demonstration of the law that will establish its success or failure exhibits neither. Far from it.
