The New Testament actually says, 'Honor your father and mother,' and 'Anyone who speaks disrespectfully of father or mother must be put to death.' Matthew 15:4 (New Living Translation) Bible, online: http://bible.cc/matthew/15-4.htm Surely when your kids reach 14 year old or so, they'll "speak disrespectfully of you", so then you can kill them. Maybe we should add this to the texts of modern Secular Humanism....nah, we're too moral for that. If Jesus was moral at all, why doesn't he come down and tell us that this verse is dead wrong? He would make a lousy parent, apparently. Is it because he's not real, or that he's just immoral? Wouldn't it be worth it to possibly save the life of just ONE child? Jesus seems immoral. Are any Christians working hard to create a version of their texts that don't say people can kill their own children for such a minor infraction?....(or not kill them at all)? Apparently they are not good enough parents to do that? (I don't know, I'm just asking.)
