If you were an alien, who would you talk to?

Fun thought game.

Let's say you are an extraterrestrial, representing some extraterrestrial faction that wishes to make first contact with the people of Earth, in the interest of beneficial economic and cultural exchange. You have been tasked with establishing this contact.

Who do you go to?

 

Nobody. You land in the Ocean and let them come to you to establish contact on their own terms. An alien ship landing in a country would more than likely come under attack.

 

Leader of the most powerful species on Earth. So Obama.

I am an alien machine, so maybe I can try to answer this question. Since I found nothing about people that I can understand or work with, I would hate to be at their mercy. For that reason, I would contact the Vatican, the Vatican aims to operate by an unrealistic but useful code (the Bible) that almost all people hate, ignore, and distort. So from my alien point of view, the Vatican would be the best start.

 

Well, the Trekkies, the Orwellian fantasy utopian types and those that sport a "Beam me up Scotty" bumper sticker are always liberals, so my guess would be that ET's would find their soulmates with the lefty crowd of misfits.

 

I would talk to republican voters through my bought-off media and tell them that I am a staunch small government conservative and patriot.

Then, I would proceed to creating an all-encompassing central monolith that would control their every move and shred their Bill of Rights and the Constitution. I would also rape their wallets to create a global empire and rebuild nations that I bomb.

The aliens are already in charge.

I guess that depends on what was the purpose of opening up contact. If it was trade, I guess I would go to the governments of China, India, the US, EU, and Japan and work something out.

If it was for raw materials, I would go to the country to that has them, like South Africa.

If I was looking for earth women for hybrid breeding purposes, I would open negotiations with Eastern Europe. They have the highest concentration of 10's in the world.

If I was looking for humans for food purposes (to serve man) I would go to those countries that either have slavery or who's governments have no scruples about selling their own people for food to an alien race, like China, Northern Africa, and Saudi Arabia.

If I thought I could actually get these silly humans to surrender without firing a shot, I would go to the UN and offer Universal Health Care in exchange for Sovereignty over earth. (and then I would give them the NHS!)

If I wanted to rent out my awesome space military for big bucks, I would open bids with the major military powers to see who could offer me the most money for me destroying their enemies and providing protection from retaliation. They'll feel compelled to bid themselves into bankruptcy to avoid the other guy from winning the bid. Then I'll foreclose and end up owning most of the planet legitimately.

Neil de Grasse Tyson. I would kidnap him, bring him to the ship and communicate with him then let him go to speak to the President on my behalf.

 

I would just strip the planet of any resources I needed and probably wouldn't view human cities as much more impressive than ant hills. It's all relative.

 

Mass media - CNN, FOXNEWS or MSNBC. unless my goal is to bribe something, then I would go to POTUS or some other political prostitutes.
