The claim "Anti-Semitism" reminds me of the old fairy tale "The Boy Who Cried 'Wolf'". It is a sign of deception and changing the subject.
She phrased it in a way which makes it look like she's covering up anti-Semitism with criticism of Israel. In a way that would NEVER be tolerated if you switched around the religions and parties. I can give her a pass because as far as I'm concerned you can advocate genocide and I dont care. Sticks and stones.
She said some really bad stuff back in 2012. Very anti-semetic stuff. So, it really is her heart that is speaking and Freidman was from his head. There is no room for Omar nor the other anti-semites in Congress. But, the Democrat Party is the Party of David Duke now.
What crimes? Israel is bombed by rockets shooting from Hamas from the Palestinians every day. Do you not see that as crimes as well? So, since Israel is a sovereign country, they do have the right to defend themselves. Do they not? So, what crimes? If the Palestinians were really interested in peace and having their own homeland, they would get Hamas and any other terrorist group out of Gaza. But, instead, they vote them in as their leaders. If you hang around the wrong people, you deserve to get what the wrong people get. You are who you hang around.

So just to be clear: A Somali-American Democrat engages in repeated anti-Semitism, and Democrats pass a resolution that condemns "white supremacists" (and gets in a reference to Charlottesville).

Perhaps she has - you have certainly given no examples though. This does not change the fact that speaking out against the Israeli Lobby is not "anti-Semetic" as is being claimed. This also does not change the fact that people who speak out against Israeli war and humanitarian crimes are regularly demonized as "anti Semitic" even those such as Chomsky who happens to be a Jew. I can't stand Omar. She supports Sharia as far as I can tell which puts her in my "human garbage" bin. This does not mean I am going to demonize her on the basis of made up BS.
Why don't you find out for sure before despising her. Her record shows her to be a strong progressive. Sharia is incompatible.

Having only seen her a few times, she seems like a meek woman, but also brave, to say what she has said. Power back to the people? Is it wrong?
Perhaps you are right. I did however do a bit of searching on this question. One of the problems is that none in the media ever asked her straight up if she supports sharia. She was however asked on twitter and gave an evasive response - something to the effect of "there will never be sharia law in the US. If you have her on record that she is against Sharia - as in "law of the land" - as many Muslims are - I would like to know.
