While speaking to a group of supporters (rare commodity) Mrs ... Ms ... Madam ... (whatever) congressperson Ilhan Omar, suggested it the UN become involved in the US immigration crisis. First it's refreshing to learn that Ms Omar has moved past her "manufactured crisis" delusions, and second, that Omar realizes the UN has an obligation to address this humanitarian crisis. So the broken clock adage rings true, but what about that blind squirrel? I'm afraid it won't be long before that squirrel dies of hunger. Which is why I said refugee centers need to be established in Panama. The crisis has to be addressed at the source, as close to "ground zero" as feasable. The most arduous part of a refugees trek is the 2000 miles across Mexico. Mexico is where cartel coyotes make their profits, and prey upon women and children. The US is the largest UN contributor, $10 bn annually. Purposing that $10 bn for refugee support in Panama would have saved the US twice that amount on DHS housing / health care and asylum courts processing. The UN needs to live up to it's obligations to the USA.
The U.S. pays for most of the needs of the U.N. Essentially, she is asking the U.S. to get involved. lol Doesn't she realize, if she had a good solution, she could get it through Congress and make it law? I guess this goes to show how well respected her opinions are when she has to call for the U.N.?

This was a publicity stunt meant to reinforce her reformulated anti-Trump smear campaign. Omar wove the US (Trump) abuses of human rights into her phony narrative. UN intervention is just a way to punctuate the "urgency" to ease the "human suffering" US immigration laws inflict upon refugees. Unfortunately for Omar it makes perfect sense for the UN to address the crisis, and the optimal place to set up operations is Panama. The crisis at the US border would cease to exist if refugees applied for asylum while under their care in Panama. Trudeau ought to be pressured into accepting successful asylum applicants too. Mexico has been pressured into granting asylum to more transients than it typically has in the past, and Canada should accept more too. Optimally global pressure to reform the regimes creating the exodus would become the UN's goal.
So, when you elect a Muslim for a little Hope and Change all you get is another crooked pol talking trash for attention.
