Birth control is standard issue for girls making the journey to the US, because it is almost a certainty they will be sexually assaulted. Do people think these rapists will stop assaulting children once they're here? The position of support for these border policies is not one of genuine concern for humanity.

Those arrests are not incidental, they are a part of an enforcement and removal effort by ICE against sex offenders. Evidently, there is disapproval from some groups for ICE focusing in on arresting and removing sex offenders from the country. What said groups would much rather prefer is for ICE to focus in an the broader populous of migrants who are not sex offenders.
