The spectre of rapists streaming across the Mexican border is a scare tactic to which the unstable and panic-prone have fallen victim. Squandering tens of billions of taxpayer dollars and seizing land from private citizens on which to build it is a crackpot fantasy that does not begin to deal with the reality. "Far fewer Mexicans and single adults are attempting to cross the border without authorization, but more families and unaccompanied children are fleeing poverty and violence in Central America."
