City taxpayers are picking up the tab for the illegal aliens flooding into their community… and still waiting for reimbursement from the federal government. Illegal aliens are currently literally pouring across the border near McAllen, Texas. They’re crossing the Rio Grande river, being picked up by Border Patrol, and dropped off at local immigration shelters – up to 200 per day. Illegal cost 1 Channel 5 News reported that the city of McAllen has spent $365,736 from their “emergency response fund” since the huge surge of Central Americans hit in 2014, and now they are preparing for another wave. The federal government has not yet reimbursed the city for expenses from 2014. Josh Ramirez, McAllen Health Department director, said, “If we maintain 200 people a day, it’s going to be an extremely busy summer.” The illegals are taken to the Sacred Heart Respite Center, where donated tents, cots and showers are set up for those who have to stay overnight. The center is run by the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen, under the direction of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, a pro-immigrant organization which welcomes and assists immigrants, regardless of their legal status. And taxpayers are picking up the tab.
You're looking at it like its an absolute. We don't have a universal, last word on the matter, end all be all, "no deport policy". We do however have policies (plural) which are designed to: a. not deport people who should otherwise be deported. b. allow criminals who should be deported to be released because we refuse to either get tough and negotiate with their home nations or simply deliver them over the boarder regardless of their home nations wishes. c. circumvent, through executive action, Congressional powers by enacting a condition of amnesty (DACA) and forcing federal authorities to not follow the laws they have been sworn to follow.
News like this popping up more frequently as immigrants legal and illegal prepare for the possibility of tougher access and more restrictions. It will be hard to stop the flow once it starts, I doubt many of the illegals will be concerned with the new policies and will use this grace period as an excuse to come now. Miami schools prepare for 'potential influx' after Castro's death http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/26/us/miami-schools-cuban-immigration/index.html --While leaders in Cuba make preparations for Fidel Castro's funeral, one top official in Miami says he's preparing for another possibility: increased immigration. Miami-Dade County Public Schools Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho said the district is getting ready for a "potential influx of child and adult learners" after Castro's death. --Experts say several factors are fueling a spike in the number of Cubans who brave dangerous journeys by land and by sea. Chief among them: fear that US policies that put Cubans on a fast track to legal residency could be repealed as relations between the two countries improve. Could that happen? It's possible, but the reason might have more to do with who's in the White House then who's at the helm in Cuba. --He's also slammed the Cuban Adjustment Act, which makes Cuban immigrants eligible to apply for a green card after a year and a day in the country. Miami has been the epicenter of the Cuban exile community for decades.
I suspect he was really wondering why anyone with a brain would get their "news" from something called PajamaMedia!
Thats easy to do so when you change how deportations are tabulated. When you(royal you) count people who are turned away at the border as deported, well, you're not being truthful. Edit: Obama includes returns with his removals. If you include returns with Bush's removal numbers, Bush has gotten rid of more.
Not having a policy and not enforcing a policy are not the same thing. We have policies. We aren't enforcing them. Take businesses that hire illegals, ever hear of any of them getting fined? Raided for being suspected? No, me neither. Why do you suspect that is? IMO, businesses rely on them and gov't doesn't want to put those businesses out of business.
The usual hit and run type posts. Post a fabrication. Nothing to support it. And then never post about it again.
Do you think there is no deport policy. The poster put out the fabrication and offered nothing but opinion. What is there to prove. But one poster did prove we have a deport policy.
