They were destined to be cooked and eaten, but these suffering dogs luckily escaped their gruesome fate. Police in Thailand rescued more than 1,000 of the animals from tiny cages when they intercepted four trucks attempting to smuggle them out of the country. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-sold-meat--theyve-rescued.html#ixzz1UvWYlwSj
Who are you to question another culture's eating habits? You know that raising dog in America for human consumption is legal and the Department of Agriculture has controls in place? I'm sure if dog were as popular in teh USA as it is in Asia, we would have dogs living in the same conditions that pigs and cows live in today.
There are police dogs and military dogs. Military/army and police will be seriously angry with people who kill dogs.
As long as they are viscous breeds like Pit Bulls, Rottweilers and such, fire up the Barbie we're better off without them.
Rottweilers isnt a viscous breed , had one myself , there isnt 1 viscous breed its education that makes them viscous
Sorry, I don't give a crap about education or what ever. As long as the viscous mutts attack only their owners like in the story above, it's OK. But, owners of viscous breeds must be forced by law to have a surety bond of $50,000 per dog for each one they own to insure they maintain financial responsibility for that deadly weapon they choose to own.
So we should ban Golden Retrievers then? Since they account for some of the highest amount of attacks on humans, far more than Rottweilers.
And hilariously the dogs most likely to attack a human, in order, are the Dachshund, the Chihuahua and the Jack Russell Terrier. Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds and Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers also have the highest number of attacks on both humans and animals. But yeah, man...those (*)(*)(*)(*)ing dangerous Rottweilers. They should totally be banned.
I've been bit by both a chihuauhua and a Jack russel, the most a pit bull ever did to me was growl. JR's are especially nasty. True hunting dogs.
Who cares? It's meat. I love meat. I'd eat dog meat without hesitation. There's nothing A-1 or a little Jack Daniels Barbie Sauce can't cure. Is dog an acceptable delicacy in Australia? You seem to speak from experience.
ive spent quite a fair amount of time in asia and eaten it there a number of times. I like meat too but i wouldnt eat dog meat again unless i had to, much too gristly and gamey. Plus when you see dogs wandering around with a 2 foot long tapeworm coming out of their rear end it kind of puts you off.
Just for the record... Labrador Retrievers: 349 attacks. German Shepherds: 292 attacks. Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers: 216 attacks. All during the year of 2008. Only in the U.S. All numbering more than Rottweiler related attacks. And the Dachshund, the Chihuahua and the Jack Russell Terrier do have the highest incidents of human attacks out of all the breeds. By numbers. Strangely enough they also tend to be amongst the breeds that attack children the most. Probably should check your math next time. Seeing as no im not "durp completely incorrect" and my statements remain factually correct. And for the record don't rely on an anti-Rottweiler site that ignores it's own statistics and even has an article dedicated to hilariously, fallaciously complaining that the huge variety of Pit Bull owners have the same personalities that are "not normal", while implying those same owners are some sort of sleazy, conniving shut-ins. Hahahaha.
Are these just arbitrary numbers you have conjured or do you have a link to records and are playing hard to get. An "anti-Rottweiller" site, gee, how perceptive of you.
No less than the great explorers Lewis and Clark often survived on dog meat while exploring America. I love dogs as much as the next person, but seriously, we eat pigs too. Its purely a cultural thing- no one who is not a vegetarian has much of a leg to stand on about condemning eating dog meat while munching away on a pork chop. I do object to inhumane and cruel treatment of animals- and I would not be surprised if that was the case here- but then again how are their chickens and pigs treated? Use the same standards for all animals.
All you can prove with you're article is Darla Napora was attacked by her own dog. got more strawman for us?
Yeah, they eat dogs in some Asian countries.......that's not exactly a newsflash. If people want to go and take pictures of it and roll around in the horror of the whole idea, that's their perogative, but it's not going to stop the practice.
I thought this was interesting... http://dogbitelaw.com/dog-bite-statistics/the-breeds-most-likely-to-kill.html At any rate, the way a dog is brought up is the biggest contributor, IMO, to how likely they will be to attack a person... The bigger breeds are just more likely to kill someone because of their size... No dog is inherently vicious...
