I have had such a debate with some who advocate how GREAT the Assad Regime is.

Even if American culture actually were "superior", I don't see the issue with outside cultural influences that don't violate core Western sentiments. For example, you'd never allow a Muslim to enact Sharia, but there's no issue with harmless Islamic cultural practices being here.

The clearest evidence that immigration won't hurt you is the simple fact that America always was and still is populated not by some homogenous ethnic group but many, and yet there's no issue with that is there? They built the "greatest country on Earth" just fine didn't they?
