Well, Ill grant youre not fat. Kudos on the mail order wife by the way.

It really is quite implausible though. Why ?

For example, your bio states that youre happy, yet youve spent all this bandwith moaning about other people and the money you have to pay out blah blah blah.

As for the 'risks' you mention, thats not real risk any more than my plumber takes a risk by investing in a truck for his gear, buying the right gear, or waiting for the next cheque to come in and having to bridge the budget gap in the meantime. Its the risks most people take in their everyday lives.

Really I think youre a bit too up on yourself and down on everyone else.

LOL! Ahhh the expertise of those who haven't done it. When I started my business, we had $12K in the bank. We were down to literally $27 before we got a check from our first client. I had a good job, a house, a car and a family to take care of.
That's a risk "most people take every day"? Yeah um bullsht. And yes, I made one single post, one time in which I vented a bit because the envious victim mentality types jumped my shet for having the gall to plan for my daughter's future. Oh the avarice!
As far as "down on everyone else"? My best friend works in room service at a local casino. You know, the guys who bring up food to your room. But he doesn't whine and betch about other people having success. He wishes it for them! (imagine THAT!). He doesn't group everyone making a few bucks into the same stereotype like prejudice people do. He knows that there are good and bad in every economic class. That's just common sense.

And thanks for the compliment on my lovely bride. For some reason, she seems to think I am quite handsome as well. Poor eyesight maybe.
BTW, she had a 3.8 GPA in college and has her accounting degree but she doesn't work. Why? We decided we would rather have less money (cuz you know, that's how "greedy people" are) and a parent at home, than make an extra $80K a year. She is an amazing and wonderful woman and I'm lucky to have her.

Um no. Our friend who works room service has never provided it for me. We met on the court and he had no idea what I do for quite some time. But we like the same music, sports, we both hate the Republicans this year and we are both happily married. So how dare you judge a regular working guy as being so evil and greedy!

Oh wait! So that's your point?!?! Regular working guys are all evil and greedy and won't make friends with people they meet at a public tennis court unless they think there's something in it for them!

Your opinion of others reflects your opinion of yourself. I pity you.

The level of stupid blind hate in this thread sickens me... If this is indicative of the general public then it is no wonder our country has gone down the toilet.

They accuse us of having our snouts in the corporate trough, yet complain that doing the jobs they are paid to do is "too much work" - then they wonder why they don't get decent raises...

They cry about us making making off the stock market for "doing nothing", yet they will not even take the time to educate themselves on how it all works - they take the cop out and say it is impossible for them to invest.

They scream that we're not doing "our fair part" for the country, yet ignore all the "other" taxes we pay; property, both state level and federal corporate taxes, our employees other portion of social security and Medicare, both state and federal unemployment, on average 1/3 of their health insurance costs, matching 401K's, and in the past pensions too. It's not enough, it'll never be enough...

They completely discount economic common sense; the (*)(*)(*)(*) we buy helps pay their wages and the (*)(*)(*)(*) we make pays their wages - that doesn't matter though, its not cold hard cash in their pockets...

It doesn't matter what us wealthy do, they will hate us. They say we lie and steal regardless, and the really sad part is that they do not even see that THEY are actually doing those things right now.

Ignorance is bliss? No, apparently Ignorance is now hate...

the wealthy don't pay an equitable share into the entitlement programs the government should control their money because it does nothing for the country when they stockpile it in their corporations and bank accounts.

their wealth must be redistributed fairly and evenly and shouldn't be held hostage by wealthy elites for whenever they feel like spending it to help the economy and country.

$12K to live on for six months is too much eh?

So here's the thing. Maybe you just misinterpreted my post.
This hatred of EVERYONE doing even fairly well for themselves is misplaced. Let me ask you some questions. If you (or anyone who has belted this post) have the courage to answer them directly and without the insanity displayed by RightWingaFraud, I'll be impressed. If not, well it says more about you than me.
Let's just start with one question that really baffles me about you guys. Hell, maybe it's too much to expect reason but I invite your insights and opinions.

What is so wrong about trying to succeed? It used to be the American Dream. Or even achieving a modicum of success? What about that, in and of itself, is so evil and greedy?

So the government should not only control how much we are allowed to take home, but also what we are allowed to do with that money. I suppose next will be telling us how big a house we are allowed to own, what kind of car we are allowed to drive, how much we are allowed to hand down to our children.

Do you not see the danger of your argument in your lust to steal my purse?

People should be paid for how much they contribute.
Staying home, waiting for the ship to come in, doesn't really contribute much.
On the other hand, availing jobs to others...and think real careful here...while many are taking those job opportunities to countries where they have to dish out less cheese with the whine.... should be rewarded by being paid for, not only providing, and taking the risk for, those jobs here.
Grouping all rich, all business owners, all those who can afford a little more, into one group is the first mistake, and its why I mention contribution for the greater good.
Of course we must distinguish between trust funders and multigenerational leeches, and those who are actually making an effort.
Waking up in the morning and holding out a hand, or going to work to complain all day, isn't much of an effort, and a savvy business person will always recognize those workers who are eager to contribute and further the business, and reward them accordingly.

That's just a line of collectivist, socialist crap. Most small business is dedicated to supplying bigger businesses. Fancy widgets can be construed as practically anything, not just ottomans for the rich and famous. Fine restaurants, clothiers, vacation resorts, Broadway Theaters, sports cars, Jerry Garcia ties, sundry techy items, the list is endless. It constitutes commerce. Your dream world in which sameness prevails, to me, sounds extremely boring. But have at it. A "collective" working together making dull, plain widgets...for each others consumption. Ayn Rand's 'Anthem' would make good reading for you.

Essentially, the vast majority of Americans are learning this... and despite the pains, are 'collectively' working to change things. It has only just begun.

Imagine ourselves in that magical Major league baseball system.

We have the top paid player earning the most.. based upon production and image of future production.
We all want the top dollar but..

We cant hit 340 with 40 HRs and 120 RBIs.
or throw 105 mph with a wicked change up..

So we settle for a great living batting 280..driving in 80 and not many errors.
We win 10-15 games ..not bad for a pitcher..
    but..

Many cant do even that..so we settle for a lesser contract in Major league baseball..we bat 180-240..win 4-10 games per year..always looking over our shoulder.. because we get...
    Cut..

back to the minors..and the same thing all over again..but we grow old..and better younger players pass us by..so we turn to teaching or coaching..training others..

    Politics is like Baseball.
Except for some reason Romney is getting creamed for being at the top of his game..because he is so successful ?
A bunch of minor league politicians telling the fans..,he cheated..he doped the system..he cant be trusted to be great anymore..
Why do we vilify success in Politics and business ?

Because those that have no knowledge of how the game is played..or even the rules by which it is played..Hate those that win..
All the while paying $ 200 for a basketball shoe endorsed by a guy who cant play anymore.
or watching a star make 20 million per season who really is cheating and doping the system.

Those at the bottom will always look up..not down.
That is the main point against their garbage argument that success is evil.

No, it isn't. This nation will not be healthy running in a mere capitalist state. What's "crap", is allowing people to be used-up by the MILLIONS... to benefit only a few thousand.

People are catching-on to the overall SCAM, and one way or the other... they are going to change it.

Have you seen what businessmen like Romney ACTUALLY have done? He is involved in a form of capitalism... that should literally have been banned.

America would be fine, without Romney and the kinds of things those like him have done.

    There's the real answer.

"The People" won't change anything. They never have and they never will. They rely on the 'intelligentsia' and 'academics' to change things. Go back through your history books (real history, not the crap they cram down your throat is high school) The 'intellectuals' rile up the masses, then they take over as the 'elites'. The masses that are reduced to being the common collective, gain nothing.

You keep imagining that you are correct. It may not be for you (per se) to see it; but it WILL surely change.

Look to Egypt. A fine example of 'Hope and Change'. The masses took to the streets with their demands for change...they got it...now they're back in the streets with their demand for change...?

Interesting point, and an accurate one. American's don't have the fire in their 'collective' bellies. They are too diverse in their discontent. Their ideals are spread across the spectrum from one extreme to the other. An example is how quickly the Tea Party has diminished in their passion and how ridiculed and ineffective the Occupiers are. No movement that challenges the status quo stands a chance. The establishment is embedded.

What a great example...instead of saying "ronmatt, you're wrong and if I find out where you live, I'm gonna come and kick yer ass", you say, "I think".

Obama wants the wealthy to "give their fair share" but doesn't care much about charity giving... since he didn't himself give much at all until he entered politics.

Before he became a serious politician and started making real money from his books, he was practically a non giver. According to his tax returns he apparently didn't believe in giving much until he knew he started making real money and the public would eventually start looking at his donation history. Obama and his wife Michelle gave less than 1% avg to charities for 5 yrs leading up to him seeing a serious political career and the power that goes with it.

In 2005 he started giving a bit over 4% AFTER he earned $1.7 Million that year. I wonder how the good Reverend Wright felt about his giving before 2005?

This is really nothing new... simply a reminder who he really is. However, it will be interesting to see how he can attack his wealthy opposition on giving freely without govt intervention.

Yes but the topic here is that there are MILLIONS of people who are just regular guys and gals. They opened a resturant or a dry cleaners or (as in my case) an employment agency or a hair salon. They worked hard and they are not the Bain Capital types. They pay their employees well and their little companies are often like a family. And guess what? They succeeded. Guess what else? They don't take advantage of anyone. These aren't hedgefund managers or takeover artist who have to slit throats to succeed. They just provide a great service or product. They contribute to charity, volunteer their time to those in need and love their familes.
There are many posters here (most notably RightWingAFraud) who feel that anyone who has the gall to actually realize the American Dream on any level, is evil and greedy.
That is complete bullshet based on envy, a victim mentality etc...

disagree they should be rewarded by a sense of patriotism not riches.

they have enough capital to create jobs and are making too much money for what they do and lets not forget the republicans like Mitt Romney who make money firing people and moving capital around.

the businesses that take jobs overseas should get tariffs if they try to profit from americans while giving jobs to foreigners as they are no longer patriotic job creators.
