As we all know, American currency has the logo "In God we Trust". In addition, liberals have fought for some time to get it removed because they deem it offensive to some. However, in April of 1787, the Continental Congress approved the Fugio cent with the logo "Mind Your Own business". I'm just wondering which coin liberals find the most offensive. I could see this going either way.
This would make sense if it were not for the fact that "In God We Trust" is a recent addition to our money.
Facts or an inconvenient truth? Mcarthyism is never honestly addressed. Its either ignored or a load of bs imagined as a rebuttal.
Why does that matter? I think what progressives need is to come up with their own logo now that they are running things. Here are but a few suggestions. 1. How is that hope and no change working out for ya? 2. Give me social justice or give me death. 3. Jesus said to pay your taxes. 4. In Obama we trust. 4. Mind your neighbors business. 5. Are we bankrupt yet? 6. Death to the 1%'ers!!
Yet.... lefties are not suggesting any of those. What they suggest is that the motto be changed to what it was originally. Nice strawman though, now go play along.
Since all money belongs to the government it can put whatever it wants on it. And if anyone doesn't like it they don't have to use any of it. Next issue.
Are you saying that the government does own the money? You only get to use it. It doesn't belong to you.
I think you will find that in the grand scheme of things the materials that are used to make money and the people that invent it and work for it does not really belong to the government. nor does my free will belong to the government. Everything we have is on loan from God. That's right, not Gawd, God. Get used to it. You have an eternity to look forward to warming up to the idea.
