Excerpt from the link at http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2015/04/02/indianas-church-of-cannabis-growing-like-a-weed Well it looks like it may be legal to smoke marijuana in Indiana soon, under this Religious Freedom Bill. Granted, marijuana is illegal there, but hey, RELIGIOUS FREEDOM! I eagerly await the Right Wingers condoning this the way they supported Memories Pizza. Just think of how horrible it will be to have to see some pothead church as you are driving by sippin' your rum and coke.
...where are all of my fellow Religious Freedom Advocates? Aren't we all happy about this new church, which already has over 20,000 likes on Facebook? Another excerpt: Somebody needs to tell this poor guy that religion isn't about love, it's about Invisible Daddies in the sky, discrimination, and oppressing women. (Sorry this is posted in the wrong section of the site, I put it in Current Events, because it is a current event, and because I have a link to a webpage, so it doesn't really fit in the opinion section, but it mysteriously got moved here, despite it being along the exact same lines of bakeries refuse service to Christians, and bakeries refuse service to gays, and it literally just happened, but move along, nothing to see here, no agenda at all. I betcha I know who moved it though!)
The baptism consists of dumping bong water on your head. For communion they have hot Cheetos and kool aid
Man, this sucks. I was so sure this thread would be teaming with responses from RWers agreeing with religious liberty, and yet, not a single one...I'm starting to think this is less about religion and more about homophobia. Could someone please prove me wrong?
And just THINK! Somewhere down the line when crimes ahve increased a lot fue to people on this junk, there will be people who will not be giving them hobs and things like that. Then they'll go to their liberal overloads and use their cook book to force people tog ive them jobs. HOOOOORAY!
Just because marijuana is illegal in places, doesn't mean people wouldn't commit crimes anyway, having said that, marijuana doesn't force people to commit crimes, they need to take personal responsibility for their own actions, instead of blaming it on the evil marijuana. I've known many people who work hard and smoke marijuana, some who made good money. Sure, there are plenty of lazy potheads, just like there are lazy alcoholics. Why is it OK to go home from work every night and drink a bottle of vodka, but not smoke a joint? Marijuana is part of their religion, don't you support Freedom of Religion? It seems like you do in all the threads about bakers refusing to make cakes for gay people. Speaking of crime again, just because some idiot who commits a heinous crime happens to smoke marijuana, doesn't mean everyone who smokes marijuana is a murderer/rapist/thief...show me a man who is violent on marijuana, and I'll show you a man who is violent sober. But look on the bright side, once it's legal in all 50 states (which will happen eventually due to common sense), all those violent potheads will OD and die, so at least there's that. Oh crap, I just remembered it's impossible to smoke too much marijuana and die. Well, I tried.
Some verses of the bible do say "for food", but many do not have that part. There are poisonous seed bearing plants as well, does god want us to eat poisonous plants? Also, you don't have to smoke marijuana, you can eat it, so maybe Jesus is against smoking weed, but he's cool with pot brownies. It's hard to say, because there are so many versions of the fairy tale.
LOL! It's humorous how many misconceptions some people still have about marijuana. I informed a friend awhile back that I don't drive after smoking marijuana, then he stated that it's still dangerous because I might smoke a joint in my house, walk out to my car and be driving around not realizing I'm in my car. Even Fox news ran a story awhile back on "killer marijuana", which simply isn't true, but considering the source...
