Inflation is going to put a lot of pressure on interest rates to rise. The Fed can't just hold interest rates down in this situation because that will just result in all the more inflation. (It's very expensive for the Fed to try to hold down interest rates)

When the Fed can't loan money to the government Treasury at low interest rates, that is going to make it much more expensive for the government to pay the interest rate on its massive debt. This could easily lead to a bad situation.

    Under totally different circumstances.

Please don't tell me you think this is looking like winning 49 states?

And two vaccines with a third to following and vaccinations fully underway. They understand he then tried to take credit and spent unnecessary money that we are now paying for with Bidenflation. They get it, you should too.

They are happy with the inflation numbers, it will make the deficits and debt appear smaller and Granholm was almost grinning telling us that gas would be over $4.00/gal well into next year, they don't want it to go down.

Amazing how some folks think they can just make up fables.

When voters went to the polls in Nov of 1984 and gave Ronaldus Maximus "The Great One" a 49 state landslide over the Democrat Mondull, who promised to raise taxes, inflation was running at 4%. It's currently running at 8.5%

Soaring CPI Crushes 'Peak Inflation' Narrative, Sparks Market Turmoil

"...S&P's the worst stretch since the Great Depression......and no, stocks aren't cheap..."

"CPI has risen for 14 straight months (Biden has been president for the last 16). Additionally, sentiment among Americans collapsed to a record low (UMICH) and inflation expectations surged (signaling Fed credibility is plunging)."

Buffeted by the idiocy of Biden and the Democrats lighting the hellfires of inflation with no plans to increase organic supply, the Fed has no choice but to DESTROY demand by sharply raising rates until the economy crashes then desperately drop rates as they trying to dig us out of the following deflationary spiral. And this is ALL unnecessary. None of this had to happen.

"The market is now pricing in 10 more rate-hikes by the end of 2022 and then 3 rate-cuts following it."

The US Equity Markets took a Monkey Hammering:

"The S&P 500 is down 10 of the last 11 weeks - the worst stretch since the Great Depression..".

"2Y Yields topped 3.00% for the first time since 2008..."

Oil soared "above $123 - well above Biden's SPR release levels..."

    Gas Prices Hit New Record

"President Biden's approval rating to yet another new record low..." well below Trump's approval during the era of reasonable prices and well stocked shelves.

And despite the stock market losses, stocks are not cheap as earnings are falling with prices.

US Households lost $586,023,000,000 in just the first quarter. By the time Q2 numbers are in, look for the Q1 loss to be remembered as the "good times'.

Remember Brandon also said high gas price was a great transition for this country. He never talked about the war Democrats declared on Americans especially those living paycheck to paycheck. Suddenly, it’s Putin’s fault.

Blaming Putin and "THE MESSAGE", yes he's mad at his staff about the message and thinks that he and Kamala just need to get out more with "THE MESSAGE" oh and the REPORTERS yes you know they just want all those clicks and if it weren't for them everyone would like him and inflation would go away.

    Sarcasm switch turned off...........:headbang:

Yes, the Democrats want to tout that they are adding less debt than Trump did in his final year, but that is only being achieved by adding so much inflation.

Something to realize is that the higher inflation is, the more it costs the Fed to try to keep interest rates down, and the more inflation that causes. It's creating more inflation now to keep the interest rates down than it did back before there was so much inflation.

I know that can be a little difficult to understand but it's like a feedback loop effect.

This is going to distort the economy when people cannot predict how much inflation will be. From now on, banks are going to have to charge much higher interest rates because they cannot predict what the future inflation will be and have to plan for the possibility of high inflation.

The Fed will eventually have to stop lending out money at low interest rates to stop the inflation.

A vaccine the gop immediately turned into a partisan issue. The money flow didn’t exactly start with Biden. Trump was making it rain for awhile there.

I seem to remember several Progressive Leftists in the Economics section of this forum actually arguing for the government to print more money to pay for everything, that it could not hurt, and would not cause inflation.

Nope which Biden and Harris did. Biden had the two already and a third on the way stop trying to give him credit for it. I opposed Trump's request for a second round so you're not going to mitigate Biden with that.

Biden and Harris said they’d be first in line if the docs approve it. They did and they were. And yes I commend trump for speaking out in favor of the vaccine, sadly the rest of his party weren’t as honest.

They said they would question anything from the Trump administration setting the stage for doubt. I didn't hear anyone in the Rep party saying the vaccines were bad or suggesting not getting them, they believe it was your CHOICE to do so. What happened to being for choice?

Not what they said, they were concerned hed pressure them to put one out before it was safe. Nah they relied on RW media to say it was bad. They undermined it just like they and trump did with masks.

Nope what they said, they opposed the federal and state mandates not the vaccines. And the mask did nothing, were a waste of money.

University of Louisville study finds mask mandates did not slow spread of COVID-19
