I heard from various sources, that according to the Bible and related places, plant life existed before demons swarmed the Earth. And animal file started only after that. It may have been that it was the fight against the demons and not the demons' arrival that happened at that time, I am not sure any more. Does someone have a few pointers how I could read up more detail about this plant-life then demon events then animal-life chronology? Thanks folks.

The Bible doesn't answer those kinds of questions.

In some ancient Jewish writings they believed that when Adam and Eve were thrown out of Eden they were separated for 130 years..

During that time Adam had conjugal relations with his first wife, Lilith.. and they produced 'demons".

Even if you do not believe in the bible there are many things that one can learn from its lessons. It answers many questions on many different issues and is silly to dismiss in its entirety.

How about you check out the old Bible and see what it says. Genesis is the first Chapter. Please look.

Oh, and that would answer what the Bible claims?

Why would anyone read a biology book to answer a question about the Bible?

Oh, because, once again, an atheist needs to jump in and remind people that he believes in evolution, even though the vast majority of Christians do too (and has been pointed out repeatedly to said poster) is order to do what?

No debate? Be uncivil? Mean? Tell jokes at other people's expense (repeatedly)?

    Moral relativism?

The fall of Lucifer after being expigated from heaven and the his dominion of the earth are two separate events. Man had dominion over all of creation but lost it in his disobedience and since then has been an unwitting slave to the evil one. "The nations are mine" Satan said to Jesus, and he's right. Our rightful role was usurped when we failed to exercise mastery over sin.

What does the Bible say about plants? I can tell you that plants before the Great Flood were vastly superior to those that survived the flood. Nutritionally, they were able to sustain people without being supplemented by meat. It wasn't until after the flood that God gave meat to man for eating because plant life was no longer sufficient. The exceleration of decay was also recorded after the flood as grape juice very quickly fermented, much to Noah's surprise, whereas juice could be stored for weeks and maybe even months before the flood without spoiling. Man's lifespan which used to be a stunning 900 years was greatly reduced with the introduction of diseases and bacteria.

As you can see, it's easier for me to make the case of a sharp degradation of both plant and animal life after the Great Flood when the very laws of physics were changed. This is why some insist there were really two falls, not one.

As does the Quran, Dharma, Tora, the Rig Vedas and the sagas. Yet, I have a hunch that those are all dismissed very easily in your part of the world. Which is, what .. silly?

To learn if plants existed before demons swarmed the Earth and animals only existed after? Nah, spt5 is on the right track.
