Instead of Fantasy Football, let's create a new game of Fantasy Pundits.

Instead of Fantasy Football, let's create a new game of Fantasy Pundits.

The idea of Fantasy Pundits is for players to select their favorite pundit in any of the subject categories we'd decide on.

For example we might limit the number of categories to 6.

Military. Economics. Politics. Foreign Relations, Social Matters, and Other Domestic Matters.

In each category you could choose your favorite political pundit or expert.

Then over a specified period of time you would be graded on how close your expert was to being correct on his or her prognostications or analysis.

The first area of performance would be:

    1. Predictions with a time limit.

Those are easy to identify and grade. If Mr. A.B. Cedee predicts a landslide GOP victory in the 2014 Mid term elections he will have a clear win in this judgment and be given a point or points.

The second area to be judged has yet to be determined and I thought this is where your talents and contributions could prove valuable.

Help construct the skelton for the game.

Eventually, we will be able to point to our favorite sources as being more reliable and better plugged in to the important sources behind the scenes who are in the know.

We are currently seeing the Rachel Maddows and Keith Olbermans of the world being afforded the same level of trust and supposed credibility as let's say a Thomas Sowell or Charles Krauthammer.

I have always maintained the BIGGEST difference between posters and voters from the two major ideological sides is the quality of their news sources.

I believe the best conservative pundits are far more reliable, thorough, accurate, responsible, far-sighted and AND MORE OFTEN PROVEN CORRECT THAN LIBERAL MEDIA TALKING HEADS.

This proposed game of Fantasy Pundits would attempt a method of qualifying AND quantifying this belief.

No longer will we have to accept the supposed equality of sources. No longer when we criticize Liberal poster's failure to see things properly will there be any doubt whether their failures as posters is the result of their crappy news sources.

    We will know.

In fact, everyone, including the Liberal posters, themselves, will be able to see at a glance how good or bad their news and information souces are at any given time.

And over the course of a year, maybe less, I'd hope the liberals would soon change their chosen category experts to those who were of better quality.

This way we might help reduce the disconnect between the Left and the Right and improve the quality of these discussions.

I can imagine this concept serving as the genesis for other types of interactive media judging and grading contests which other political forums might replicate.

    What do you think.

    Any questions?

Anything I need to better explain?

That is quite ambitious. I believe your premise to be spot on.

It would be some real work to make it happen.
