Clapper willfully and knowingly broke the law when he lied to Congress in an attempt to hide the truth about the NSA’s domestic data-collection from the American public.

At a Congressional hearing in March, Clapper was asked:

“Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?”

    Clapper answered:

    “No sir…not wittingly.”

    That was a lie.

Clapper had advance notice that the question was going to be asked and he declined a later offer to correct his statement.

If Clapper is not prosecuted, let alone investigated, for lying to Congress, it will make a mockery of our American rule of law and show that the powerful can lie and break the law with impunity.

We the People should not accept this. If you feel likewise, check out this White House Petition: http://wh.gov/l32E2

Does anyone think he didn't lie? Even if he did so in the belief that he was protecting the country, isn't he then in the same category as Snowden, who similarly believes he broke the law in the interests of the US? And whom the government is trying to prosecute?

When Edward Snowden talks to the press about government illegality, they call it espionage and treason, but when a general lies under oath to Congress, nobody does nuthin'. Shame.

Nobody bothers, because presidents have pardon power.

We seriously need to remove that from the administrative branch. Governors and presidents should not have the power to look into specific cases and overturn decisions by judges and juries. We have a judicial branch... thank you.

Expecting him be snapped up by Fox News any day now, just like the other traitor Oliver North.

Not to sure what Snowden and Julian Assange ar worried about, it seems to me the US like to force traitors on the public through on air positions on television.

Now where are those diplomatic cables about the US's assiatnce to the rebels in Syria!

The only traitors that Fox News likes are those on the right. Oliver North's crimes were ordered by Reagan, even though when asked, he said he forgot whether he ordered it or not. Snowden did it solely for the American people. Not for money. Not for another country or ideology.
